    Merlin Annual Pass

Not heard anything yet, I bought a premium pass in the sale and put my name on the VIP notification list but I've heard nothing yet. I think it will be March before there's any details.

Fantasy Island: Mini Meet Ideas and Suggestions

Two of my favourite coasters, although it's not cool to admit it, so it seems ! I was luckily enough to visit end of season last year when both were running , although Millennium went poorly while we were on the lift hill on about our fifteenth ride and was closed after that for the rest of the...

    Merlin Annual Pass

Nope, still waiting on mine, but there's time yet. Not really the end of the world if my lanyard takes a little longer to arrive I suppose. I'm still interested in hearing a bit more about the VIP pass and whether it'll be upgradable from a current MAP.

    'Flappy Bird' High Scores

I managed 32 as well, but it's an awful little game, I've no idea why it's so popular. There was a similar sort of game a few years back, but with a little helicopter flying through ever decreasing caves. Much better than this one !

At least you didn't wander over to the nightwear section in Tesco and then completely forget what you went there for, that happens you know at our age ! ;)

    Wasted Energy.

No, I'm not talking about the wasted energy of travelling all the way to the Towers to ride Smiler for the first time to find it's broken again, I'm talking about wasted potential energy on a coaster. Now I know very little about how one goes about designing a roller coaster from scratch but I...

    Are you an 'adrenaline junkie'?

Well, if I was given one second to answer that question I'd say yes ! But then if I actually think about it I'm not so sure.... :S I probably would jump out a plane or bungy jump from a bridge but then I have to ask myself if that's really the case how come I've made it to my forties without...

    Oakwood Discussion

Yeah, it's looking like a long trip, I'll have to see if I can combine it with something else and make a weekend of it. Looking on the map there's not a whole lot going on down there though. :/

    Oakwood Discussion

Thank you for pointing that out to me Joseph, it should cut quite a chunk off the journey time now I don't have to keep stopping and fiddling with my watch. ::) According to the AA it's four and a half hours for me, I'm sure I can beat that. :D

    Oakwood Discussion

Oakwood is top of my "UK must do " list for 2014, but I have to say if it wasn't for Megaphobia I don't think I'd be making the journey across six time zones from the east midlands. I'll be avoiding that evil looking clown coaster as well, just who thought that was a good idea ??!! Credit or...

    Fear of Drop Towers

Yup I'm beginning to think there's something distinctly odd about anyone who actually enjoys drop towers. It's just not natural. Weirdos the lot of ya ! :D

You recall incorrectly I believe. S-VHS was super vhs, a kind of hd of it's time with a higher bandwidth than ordinary vhs. I've still got a S-VHS player in the attic that cost me £800, it's worth about 50p now I reckon. :'( Personally I couldn't really tell the difference which was a bit...

    Fear of Drop Towers

It's good to know that I'm not on my own with my irrational fear of drop towers, I won't be quite so embarrassed next time I squeal like a little girl all the way down. :-[

    Fear of Drop Towers

I should start by saying I'm not the world's biggest coaster fan boy, probably 50% of my 60ish "creds" have been obtained in the past year and the rest many years back and 99% of them are UK based, so I'm returning to the world of coaster fun after a long time away. But there's no doubt I do...

I'll dig out my TDK c-60's and put some batteries in my Tandy cassette recorder then. :D If I can find one of those awful 80's hits compilations that were recorded by "artists" that sounded slightly like the singers that had the actual hits that should get me bonus points !
