Thorpe Park: General Discussion
Re: Thorpe Park I really hope the issues it's had have been sorted whilst it's been closed. It barely operated during the season just gone! :)- LiamC

TPR Video from IAAPA, GG want to build at Alton towers
Indeed, and you should expect opinions in the opposite way. Such a highly regarded one too! It's a shame that people do see modern woodies in this light as I genuinely feel that they are fantastic pieces of kit :)- LiamC

Florida 2018: 'The Skyscraper' - Intamin - world's tallest coaster
Re: Florida 2015: S&S - world's tallest coaster I don't like the look or idea of these, just a pure gimmick. They remind me of those travelling coasters that just spiral around the lift hill and do nothing else :/- LiamC

TPR Video from IAAPA, GG want to build at Alton towers
I'm genuinely interested to hear which one? After riding my first modern one back in October my opinion and perception changed on them completely. For me, a wooden coaster is now the next and only logical step for Alton Towers if it wants to compete against the other parks.- LiamC

So how many of us use fastrack?
I've only ever used fastrack once, at Towers during the last Saturday of Scarefest in 2012, as I hadn't been to the park in perhaps 2+ years and actually wanted to do some rides. However now, and prior to this, I wouldn't touch it with a barge poll. That and quite a lot of the time the queue...- LiamC

TPR Video from IAAPA, GG want to build at Alton towers
I used to feel exactly the same as this. However, after riding my first modern woodie (Wodan, a GCI opened in 2012) in October my whole perception changed. Visually it's one of the most impressive rides I've seen in a long time. The way it interacts with it's setting and the rides around it is...- LiamC

TPR Video from IAAPA, GG want to build at Alton towers
On the contrary, it's been looked into in great detail by the park before. There's a hefty section in the "Tales from the Towers" book that details Tower's various run in's with wooden coasters. It mentions the planed one for Coaster Corner and the whole cross valley woodie plans pre Rita and...- LiamC

Six Flags Great America: General Discussion
The cars themselves look good but the seats and restraints don't half look unsightly. Those knee bars don't half look painful and unnecessary and those moulded plastic seats are generally uncomfortable and cheap looking. :)- LiamC

Busch Gardens Tampa: General Discussion
Such a shame! From what I've read it was tamed down after Cheetah Chase opened wasn't it? I thought they may try and bring it back as much as they could to what it used to be like. I rode it in 2005 in it's full program and it was awesome, such a fun ride.- LiamC

2019: Rulantica
I'd been told of the size before now, but seeing it actually put against a map is something else. Smaller than Aquatica but am I correct in thinking the biggest in Europe?- LiamC
