2016: Ireland
Is this a re-theme/touch up of an existing area or a whole new area completely? I haven't kept up to speed? Themed slides are always a winner in my eyes!- LiamC

2016: Air - Re-theme to VR Coaster - Galactica
Ahhh I see, fair enough. Although wiping between rides slows stuff down even further, but I guess there's no way around that. Ahh yes, the chunky carrot to the eye.- LiamC

2017/18: SW8 Speculation
A mid season opening leaves them in the same position as when they did The Smiler in terms of getting stuff sorted and in place on time. Probably even less actually. And look how that ended up.- LiamC

2016: Air - Re-theme to VR Coaster - Galactica
Am I right in thinking (sorry I've been out the loop) that the VR headsets are attached to the crafts themselves? I was reading a TPR (boo) piece earlier about the new VR on Shockwave at SFOT and they are handed out there and collected after every ride and cleaned. Obviously for this to work...- LiamC

2017/18: SW8 Speculation
Good point. It's also worth remembering that their last two major, original rides (Big One and Valhalla) were substantial investments and quite revolutionary at the time. And they are still (well, Valhalla) held in high regard amongst the enthusiast community and general public alike.- LiamC

2017/18: SW8 Speculation
I think that's far too optimistic. There's so much that needs to be done to get something open in that short space of time. Plans submitted, approved, ground work starting, construction starts, completion, testing, opening. Plus they haven't even begun to dismantle The Flume yet. If they were to...- LiamC

New Log Flume
True, it could go there, but would it look good? Spinball is just stuck there as an out the box and put up kit with not a lot going for it in terms of landscaping etc. But if they were to remove this and put an indoor flume in it's place, it would be very hard to disguise it from just looking...- LiamC

No Adult Groups Allowed
I know a lot of people that have children that also go to places/events such as the Warehouse Project etc. and, going by your logic, them not being able to take their children there is just as bad as a pub saying "no blacks"?! Comparing the persecution of a race to you not being allowed in a...- LiamC

Incident on The Smiler 02/06/2015
Buy a standard one then? I'm sorry, but you have the opportunity to return at ANY OTHER time of the year. Whereas guest paying either on the day or have free tickets from The Sun etc. don't necessarily have that option, hence this gesture of goodwill.- LiamC

Incident on The Smiler 02/06/2015
I think this will just for part of the ongoing investigation, but still good news. I didn't really expect them to be sending any cars around it this quickly at all!- LiamC

Big improvement for Volcano. It was beginning to look a little tatty and tired! Shame the new train for JO will probably never run like :P- LiamC

Game of Thrones
Valar Dohaeris. I can't wait for this. From what I've seen and read so far this series looks to be a lot more action led episode to episode rather than following the format of the last three seasons with the slow build up to the ninth episode then a reactionary episode as the last in the...- LiamC

The Smiler - General Discussion
True it had it's ups and downs, but that was brand new technology when it was unveiled over twelve years ago. There isn't truly anything ground breaking on The Smiler. It is essentially just two eurofighters stuck together. The problems it has had and is having shouldn't be as extensive as they...- LiamC

2014: General Discussion
I don't like this at all. Granted it's only a penny but it's YOUR own money at the end of the day. For all they know you have paid gate entrance price to the park, top price for food/drink in the park and parking not to mention any other extras you may have gone in for. If he didn't have any...- LiamC
