London Entertainment Resort: All Discussion
Exactly. Being from Glasgow, my trips to Towers are 4.5 hours each way and I'm happy to do it because, despite its frustrations, I love it. If they can deliver on this new park/complex then people will justify the cost to go. Definitely sounds promising so far. I'd be up for a trip even if it...- allyallyally47

It's the final week of school for most in Scotland so it's definitely the week for school trips from up here!- allyallyally47

2014: General Discussion
I saw this on Facebook and couldn't really figure out what had happened! So he actually got out a boat? (Photo looked like a boy so going on this assumption) You'd like to think that he just decided himself to do this but in reality surely the parents/guardians were totally aware of this and...- allyallyally47

Queue time information
Really like the look of the new board and glad the whole park will be getting them and not just one at the box office. Presumably these will be a lot easier to maintain/fix than the current ones? They always seem to be part broken with half the text missing!- allyallyally47

General Hotel Discussion
The Golf card machine wasn't working when I went at the end of March!! Surely it hasn't been out of action all this time? Also to add to the previous note about hotel guests and ERT, I bought BOGOF tickets on the day when staying in March and was then able to walk straight through Mutiny Bay...- allyallyally47

Offers, Deals and Vouchers
I received my tickets just over 4 weeks after posting the form, and I knew I would probably have a longer wait as I put October as my first choice band and the later band choices get processed last or so I'm led to believe. I think you need to allow 6 weeks from when you posted them before you...- allyallyally47

CBeebies Land
Re: 2014: CBeebies Land The sign in the second photo look rather like a signpost to Spinball Noodles which I believe is now always closed? Assuming these are evidence of the signs being removed rather than added?! In general, I think the whole area is looking really good and I just hope it...- allyallyally47

Old Merchandise
I don't suppose anyone remembers (or maybe even has) a wall poster from circa 1995-1996? It would have been the size of your average large poster, with the Towers logo in the middle and various rides depicted around it. It was more illustration based than photo based, as I remember there being...- allyallyally47

The Smiler - General Discussion
This is exactly why, ridonkulous queues aside, I've been reluctant to ride it. I'm terrible for overcoming first ride fear but I'm so torn between wanting to go on The Smiler and fearing the train roulette! What does this come down to? Wear and tear? Loose fittings?- allyallyally47

Opening day TR
Obviously Thankfully this had been cleaned when I stayed last Monday, though there is now a nice stain left where it happened! Did have a giggle to myself that I knew exactly what had caused it! No one has secrets with this forum spotting/reporting everything :D- allyallyally47

"I've never been on..."
I was worried I was going to shame myself here but my 'never' list isn't as bad as I thought! Never done Ripsaw, Sonic Spinball, Thirteen, Sub-Terra or Smiler, the latter being down to queue length rather than sheer refusal!- allyallyally47

2014: General Discussion
This! It was a nightmare last year (namely Scarefest) trying to get up and down that path when it was packed and the barriers were up. Also didn't help that people didn't have a clue where to join the queue so faffed about in the middle of the path. As Rob said, this could potentially be an even...- allyallyally47

New Fencing at Alton Towers
Hoping this doesn't come across as a newbie/rookie post :P Is the issue not partly with the steps though? It doesn't seem like having that proposed fence running along the edge of the steps/ledge is going to massively solve the problem (I'm just envisioning people looking at the fence and then...- allyallyally47
