    2025: General Discussion

Because a restaurant has been in the location between the Sky Ride and the Dungeons building for over 40 years and has been a fast food burger place in that location for over 31 years. Whereas what is now Woodcutters previously had a stage on it, then a fast food BBQ and that structure was...

Pepsi Max is the superior cola. Coke Zero the worst, although Diet Pepsi is also not great.

Tortilla was probably a franchise, so may still have been run in-house. They likely were experimenting to see if franchising was a better option or not. Also quite different to Nando's as Tortilla is most fast-food style service not served on plates to your table like Nando's. Also Nando's UK...

Chessington had an own-brand peri-peri for a while, but replaced it with the smokehouse. Thorpe might have done it at the jungle BBQ place too? I don't think at this point Merlin would be looking to add that sort of branded outlet back into the parks. If anything they would add peri-peri glazed...

Also in terms of a theme park setting, the Hobbit homes are quite iconic.

Also are they now offering burgers without a meal? Annoyed me last year as we had Freestyle cups but couldn't get a burger without a drink at BK.

Removing desserts makes more sense to me than onion rings. I would be more likely to get something to eat alongside the burger meal, like onion rings. Whereas for ice cream why queue up again to order, when you can wait and go to a different outlet an hour later and probably get something...

Can you add details on what they should take note of?

The Wicked stage musical has been running in the US since 2003 and London since 2006 and still going strong. Don't think it is that risky, probably no worse than the other suggestions of Lord of the Rings, or some of the things Universal are using in Florida like Shrek or Trolls.

Pizza Hut near me is £19.99 for the buffet all-in package at the weekend, which gives drinks and ice cream with the buffet. I therefore would expect £19.99 for adults at AT too.

It doesn't, it just drips down the side of the dryer and on to the wall and floor. Mtsubishi and others make dryers (that don't work as a air-based squeegee blade like Dyson) with recepticles to catch the water, but Dyson have never been designed to. My other huge pet hate with public toilets...

I have at my place of work and at some restaurants. Found another cubicle and got on with it but still reported the lack of paper in the other cubicle so they can fix it for other people.

The I didn't notice much difference in quality between my breakfast at Secret Garden in 2019 and 2024. The ingrediants seemed to be the same really, down to the syrups provided for pancakes being Brakes (major catering supplier) own brand. The issue is the variety I think, although 2024 had a...

Universal have their hotels run by Loews. Also photography in the Universal parks is an external company. Disney have A LOT of concessions running restaurants and similar in their parks (especially Epcot) and the Coronado Springs hotel restaurants are run by an outside company. Some other shops...

    Merlin Entertainments: General Discussion

I hadn't realised Merlin had seperated off the Seal Sanctury (and closed the Oban one). I visited about 15 years ago using a Merlin annual pass, but it is run seperately as a wholly charity thing rather than part of the main Sea Life estate now and Merlin annual pass doesn't appear to be valid.

    Merlin Entertainments: General Discussion

Not a massive surprise really. As has also been discussed with regards to Oakwood and similar I think tourism to the UK seaside towns isn't as big as it was. So all the Sea-Life business Merlin had in the 90s and 2000s before the Tussauds merger probably isn't as busy as it once was. But keeping...

The "walk-up price" is listed as £68 but no one pays that, it is there for some of the discount vouchers. But most of those discounts have changed to use the online price anyway, Kellogg's boxes give 25% off the online price now, which is £29-42 when booking at least a day in advance. Book right...

    2025: General Discussion

No one knows if Oktoberfest made money in the first year but even if it didn't it makes sense to trial it for a few years, especially if it generally seemed popular but wasn't quite making additional people visit. But of course if a large number of the additional visits are annual passholders...
