    Thorpe Park: General Discussion

Not blaming anyone but I personally wouldn't leave items in the store rooms or baggage cages without putting them in a bag first as feels like too many things to go wrong otherwise. At places with self-service lockers like Universal then I still don't like putting loose things in a locker as it...

Universal Epic Universe - New Florida Theme Park

I don’t think Epic will be as bad as Busch for that sort of thing, it has multiple indoor shows and and attractions plus restaurants. Busch Gardens is more like Thorpe Park in that it’s mainly outdoor coasters.

    Chessington World of Adventures Resort

Christmas isn't really "winter" of course. As @Bowser said, most UK parks don't open January to March as that really is winter for the UK with the colder weather. I think most UK parks (except Thorpe) are already doing Christmas opening in December or looking to offer something. I don't see...

    UK Politics General Discussion

and again, what is your actual solution for enforcing that happening, we left the EU and many of our politicians chose not to engage with the EU when we were members, we kept electing ineffective MEPs who didn't even attend parliament.

Again, until there is a proper way to claim asylum such as a processing centre in France, arriving illegally may just make you an asylum seeker. This is already the case that it is arriving illegally, but until there is a method to actually claim asylum without arriving illegally what is the...

    Thorpe Park: General Discussion

Thats the point, it should have been designed correctly from day one. It shouldn't need to consider whether the track is banked or not, or where to add them in the future, as the elements should have been correctly designed from day one.

    UK Politics General Discussion

So, lets say you can tell your country isn't doing well, but you've studied, got a degree and a company in the UK is hiring and you have the knowledge, so you get a job here with a visa, knowing the situation in your home country isn't great though. Then war breaks out and your parents flee and...

    Hotels General Discussion

Surely it would make more sense to move the guests into the other hotel as well? Those in lodges would need moon voyager rooms to be of similar quality, but overall it would make for a more efficient use of staff for the whole hotel operation. Whereas this seems like Aramark saving money at the...

    [🌎 Universal GB] General Discussion

The park isn't open, it is in preview. I think the preview tickets are overpriced, but no one should be going to the park right now expecting everything to work. The issue is, I'm not sure its going to be ready for the actual opening date a week tomorrow either... But on the park hours page for...

and as above, the person entering the USA without the correct visa is kept in a detention centre until that person can be deported, its happening to Brits now https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c80y3yx1jdyo The difference is if someone is claiming asylum they get held until their case can be...

    UK Politics General Discussion

We need an asylum processing centre in France. That would cut down on a lot of the boats as it would open an easy and safe route to claim asylum in the UK.

Food & Beverage: The Aramark Era begins

Although McDonalds has a lot more price variability than they used to. I can recall they used to be almost the same price nationally, but it is now more regional than it used to be. But yes their prices don't vary as wildly as BK do.

Food & Beverage: The Aramark Era begins

McDonalds is £5 a burger (Big Mac) now but also uses frozen beef patties and frozen pre-cut fries. Five Guys use fresh mince and cut the fries in-store, so the costs to produce the food is significantly different. I don't think it is guaranteed that the margins will be massivly different. Yes...

    Disneyland Abu Dhabi

I think people should keep calling companies out that support LGBT, womens and BMI rights in most of the world but not everywhere to encourage them to take more action.

    Thorpe Park: General Discussion

KFC is the least vegan-friendly of the major fast food chains, they do share fryers/oil between fries and popcorn chicken. As you say BK and McDs do have dedicated fryers for fries and vegetarian items.

Food & Beverage: The Aramark Era begins

I think having KFC & Burger King at Thorpe means they do think about keeping their prices more competitive. Its very weird that the calories are so different though, you would have thought they had the same suppliers and product spec at all four UK parks.

Food & Beverage: The Aramark Era begins

While I generally agree, there is the option to get a burger meal instead of just a hotdog for not much more.
