    Monorail Refurbishment

When the monorail was built it probably was closer to the middle of the car parks, but one if them is now for Splash Landings hotel guests only and other parts have become the golf etc.

Food & Beverage: The Aramark Era begins

I’ve walked out with items from Amazon store and then when they sent the receipt a few hours later those items weren’t charged for. So while not theft as I wanted to pay, there is definitely stockloss. I don’t see any of the other supermarkets going that way and more things like spirits and...

Food & Beverage: The Aramark Era begins

Rita's Chicken & Ribs as a fast-casual bar/restaurant opened in 2007, so thats 18 years of people wanting a plated meal in that location of the park. Seems like there is a market for it. I'm not convinced the camera-tracking walk in/out system will go much further, Tesco had one trial store...

    2025 Offers...

The post you replied to was about the Discovery pass sale price of £79, therefore seems reasonable to think that is what you are comparing to? Also the cinema isn't easily £40, BFI IMAX for the Minecraft movie in a few weeks is £23-27 for adults and £15-19 for children. Odeon Leicester Square...

    2025 Offers...

West-end cinema is cheaper than £79? Some theatre shows are more but they also discount to fill seats in quieter times of the year. I've had £25 tickets in January that should have been £80+ Although the discovery pass is very cheap at £79, it sort of serves a purpose of filling the...

Food & Beverage: The Aramark Era begins

The Chicken and Waffle sandwich at Universal's Simpson's food court is decent. the iced donut at Woodcutters definitely looks worse.

Food & Beverage: The Aramark Era begins

I ate in Burger Kitchen last year and it was fine. Exactly what I expected for a fast food burger. Although I think I had the chicken strip with onion rings one, it was hot and tasty.

    2025: General Discussion

The "saving them up for fireworks" would be stopped by just having expiry dates on the cards and enforcing them properly. The parks have no-one to blame but themselves. If you've waited more than 90 minutes to ride you should be able to get on something else same day without a long wait. Or...

This still happens. They can store bags and make bookings for breakfast.

Can also buy on iTunes to download Any links just go to Apple Music though but searching the iTunes Store does bring up Alton Towers tracks.

[202X] Project Horizon (SW9?): Planning Approved

The difference with Universal/Disney (and Phantasialand/Europa to a smaller extent) is there are things to do/see that aren't rides. Diagon Alley at Universal only has 1.5 rides (Gringotts and Hogwarts Express) but you can visit the shops and the themed alleyways, get butterbeer ice cream, watch...

[202X] Project Horizon (SW9?): Planning Approved

Yep and what is probably mainly needed at AT is other indoor stuff, shows (3D/4D or live) plus maybe an additional walk-through or play type attraction that isn’t CBeebies (fun house, exhibitions, etc). There is Sea Life right now of course. To add, this is also an issue at Thorpe Park, which...

[202X] Project Horizon (SW9?): Planning Approved

Whats the fifth? Curse, Hex, Gangasta Granny, Toyland/Charlie/Dungeons and ? I don't think Sub-Terra counts as dark ride, its a drop tower indoors. Same as I wouldn't count indoor coaster as dark ride, its an indoor coaster.

[202X] Project Horizon (SW9?): Planning Approved

Why not keep the dark ride building as a dark ride? The Dungeons has a slow moving dark ride in it, just get it back in use as one, same as it was for Charlie and Toyland. I don't think a coaster would fit in that building anyway. An indoor coaster is a much better ride type than a water...

[202X] Project Horizon (SW9?): Planning Approved

Also a permanent show needs to come back, not just flat rides. A family "flat ride" gap could be filled by re-opening the 4D cinema with either 4D film again or a live show. At present there is no live entertainment outside of CBeebies which is just as big a gap as flat rides are.

    2025: Toxicator - General Discussion

Been that way for 28 years, since Ripsaw opened. Ripsaw and the Blade were things to cut the Nemisis monster up into pieces. Or maybe Ripsaw was a decontamination device. They were both definitely part of the Nemesis story even 25+ years ago.

    Paultons Park: General Discussion

I agree it’s might appear slightly lower initial cost outlay, but lots of smaller buildings probably cost similar to one big one. There is a reason Premier Inn have lots of big boxes divided internally into identical rooms. But it does make sense to offer an experience nearby hotels don’t have...

    2025: General Discussion

I don't think there would be anything official, they are two seperate attractions run by two seperate companies (Universal and Warner Bros). Would be like Alton Towers doing a shuttle to Drayton Manor. The short journey is why they can manage it, its also a shorter length visit (you only need...

    2025: General Discussion

Which is the more appealing offering? £3 extra on top of a ticket (based on four per car) or £12 parking? I think raising some ticket prices might be the better option, as others have said if you only realise the parking cost on the day it can leave a bad feeling. Whereas the ticket might be...
