1995 B&M Dive Coaster patent
I'm trying to work out what they've actually patented here? It obviously can't the the vertical drop because other companies have done it. It just appears to the exact layout.- JAperson

Forbidden Valley: Future Changes?
Well they could make Galactica look presentable, or is that impossible? There's no money to be gained in them converting in back to air, just extra expense so they won't.- JAperson

Forbidden Valley: Future Changes?
There's no money to be made in putting in back to Air, it wouldn't be very marketable and it wouldn't really achieve anything. So I think it's highly unlikely. Oh and that tunnel is never going to the themed.- JAperson

[2024] Voltron Nevera | Mack Stryker Coaster
No and I never said it was, what I was referencing was that they should've learnt there lesson to be very careful with sponsorships. I agree that it's mostly on brand, but really having it in the name is rather pointless. Nobody can possibly no that. It might be plastered all over the station...- JAperson

[2024] Voltron Nevera | Mack Stryker Coaster
Again another coaster with a ruined name, I feel like the worlds been on a role this week naming coasters badly. Voltron was fine, now EP have got another of there big money sponsors and it all changes. Didn't they learn there lesson with Blue Fire being sponsored by a dodgy Russian company?- JAperson

Spinball Whizzer: General Discussion
I think Spinball with eventually bee removed in some kind of agreement but it fills a gap Towers currently don't have and it's a fairly popular ride with visitors.- JAperson

[202X] Project Horizon (SW9?): Planning Approved
I think there is about a 50/50 chance whether this will be an IP or not. I think it's far from confirmed either way and I think there are strong arguments for both in a business sense. I think that's part of the reason this project is so interesting. In terms of construction I wouldn't have...- JAperson

Dorney Park: General Discussion
Looks good but it's another of those strange metal names, We've had steel curtain, iron rattler and so many more. I just don't get this naming things with a metal at the start. Wouldn't menace have been good enough?- JAperson

Kennywood: 2019 S&S Coaster - Steel Curtain
I believe this coaster has been a problem child since it opened. It would appear S&S took on a project with a scale they couldn't handle. I wouldn't be surprised to see a law suite (this is the US after all) take place here between Kennywood and S&S. Kennywood don't often get a major ride, and...- JAperson

Are family-owned parks always superior to corporate parks?
No, parks with lots of capital and a good sturucture owned by large companies, like perhaps universal can be amazing (I've never visited universal but I've heard great things). Perhaps it is true that family run parks are able to provide a better level of service and are so reliant on the park...- JAperson

London Entertainment Resort: All Discussion
I agree with some that there is a gap in the market, possibly near London, for a newly built theme park to help compete, but a project of this huge size and massive cost was never going to be it. I think it's pretty clear that parks that start smaller but grow larger as there brands grows do...- JAperson

Remembering John Broome

Skyride General Discussion
It doesn't have to be something as obnoxious as that, there is plenty of brands that could sponsor something like the skyride without it looking horrible. For example some kind of transportation company or airline. I wasn't aware of quite how much had been replaced, I knew about the station...- JAperson

Alton Towers Social Media
I actually prefer this new font, it's easier to read and clearer. It's not a massive change but overall I think this is perhaps the only thing they're doing right in the social media and marketing department at the moment. I mean all these cringy video's make no sense but at least they're using...- JAperson

Skyride General Discussion
I hope they'll replace the relevant parts but the problem is, will it just happen again? Surely it might actually need a full scale refurb, which would be expensive, and not very marketable. Perhaps this might be one good time for a sponsor, with the skyride not being all that heavily themed...- JAperson

SeaWorld Orlando: General Discussion
That is true for some reason I had it in my head @MakoMania was talking about income, so ignore that. But I stand by my comments that it's a very risky stragety and the opinions on SeaWorld aren't going to be changed by sticking coasters in one go without consideration for how they intend to...- JAperson

SeaWorld Orlando: General Discussion
Yes but operating costs are also through the roof. They need to slow it down. I just don't see how you can sustain such a high level of investment without actually having any capital. It's a high risk stragety, if these investments don't pay off they're going to be stuck with a lot of debt. I...- JAperson

Your most memorable school trip experiences?
The BCLM is fantastic, I've been a few times recently. Worth taking the kids to be fair. It's also easy to reach via train, if you staying in central Birmingham you can get a train to Tipton (it's on the line to Wolverhampton), it's about a 10 minute walk from there. They've invested in a new...- JAperson

SeaWorld Orlando: General Discussion
I understand they are trying to change the perception of the park, and I think that's the right thing to do. But the pure amount of investment, especially at a time like this where everything is costing more, I just don't see how they can continue to fund it without actually making any money. I...- JAperson
