Thorpe Park: General Discussion
It's a system that overall seems to have worked for BTP and people have reported many incidents they're experienced at Thorpe so I think it's a good thing for them to at least attempt to combat this problem. I just hope it's built into the app, nice easy button to push, send a quick form and...- JAperson

Southport Pleasureland
I think it's more likely going to be what they call a specific area of the park, perhaps with the new coaster rather than the rebrand of the park, it's an iconic name that they have no reason to change. I mean for starters Norman Wallis saved the park as he felt the place was special so I can't...- JAperson

Isn't this the first family boomerang in the US? Will actually be somewhat unique there, something they really aren't here.- JAperson

Chessington World of Adventures Resort
We know a feature of the apps Merlin use it to remove rides completely and then they reappear. It seems to be something all the parks do, sometimes by accident, so I'm guessing it's pretty easy for them to do.- JAperson

The Brexit Thread
I'm aware we are implementing the system (although I forgot) and it's going to be annoying to need some kind of visa to travel anywhere. I am actually in favour of a system like this but not when you've got really close agreements with countries and you know you can trust there law enforcement...- JAperson

Original Plan for SW8 - Forbidden Valley Wooden Coaster
I'm not sure the Smiler incident is the only reason it wasn't built but I'm not sure it would've just been cancelled in that area. If the plans had got this far they must've expected they'd have a good chance at planning permission or they wouldn't have put the money and effort into getting GCI...- JAperson

The Brexit Thread
Yes definatley, it will ease border congestion on both sides and mean that staff shortages have less of an impact. Also I hate the idea (with the US too) that these e-visa's that aren't e-visa's are accepted when countries have agreeded visa free travel. For a US citizen they just have to turn...- JAperson

Original Plan for SW8 - Forbidden Valley Wooden Coaster
Overall I'm very glad we got Wicker Man because I think it's almost exactly what the park needed. Plus although the layout of this looks great, Wicker Mans turned out to be a lot more fun than most people predicted it would be. I do however think we could see something else in this space at...- JAperson

Coughing in public in 2023... Acceptable or not?
Not even after you've had a couple of pints Rob? This is a stupid question, people don't choose to cough, it's not a choice, if your going to cough make an effort to cover your mouth and that's it. The one that used to wind me up was teachers telling us to not cough during lessons like as if...- JAperson

Blackpool Pleasure Beach: 2023 Discussion
It's a good ride, I would say it's got some good parts, some pointless parts and some boring parts. The ending zig zags are pointless, I'm just glad it's smooth or they'd be awful. The restraints are comfortable (definitely the best on park). I think overall it isn't a bad ride, just not...- JAperson

Blackpool Pleasure Beach: 2023 Discussion
Operations on the big one today really weren't that good, queued probably 30-40 mins, with it on one train, really don't know why it wasn't on two unless there was a problem with one of the trains, leading to the closure on Saturday or something. That queue was so hot with no shade today.- JAperson

Blackpool Pleasure Beach: 2023 Discussion
So on Saturday I went to pleasure beach for the first time, I can safely say I've never been to a theme park with a more unique (and often painful) set of rides. I will never ride Steeplchase again, I still have bruises, that contrabtion needs binning no matter how nostalgic it might be. Grand...- JAperson
