[2023] The Curse at Alton Manor
Oh I completely agree, it makes it interesting. It's the same with Project Horizon, with indoor attractions there's so much more they can keep secret than with outdoor attractions, especially with the level of detail usually submitted on planning applications.- JAperson

[2023] The Curse at Alton Manor
@QTXAdsy will already be having nightmares, he's terrified of the thing. :tearsofjoy: They do that and he'll be wishing he's at M&D's (actually probably still wouldn't want to be there). Anyway has there actually been any news in this thread recently?- JAperson

Lightwater Valley
I think you might be eating your hat (have you even got a hat? If not you've got a decade to purchase one), because the park seems to be doing fairly well in it's current direction. They've managed the transformation of the park well and I believe it's making a profit at the moment(?). I think...- JAperson

The Brexit Thread
Even if it isn't true? As this is a thread on brexit this will be my last post on the matter. If the EU was so concerned they would've sanctioned Gibralter while it was a member, clearly they weren't. This tale of smugglers and tax avoidence is something the Spanish nationalist media pump out...- JAperson

The Brexit Thread
Yes and the majority of them pushed by the Spanish media, wonder why that is? Also Gibraltar has got one of the strictest tobacco laws in the world, the Gibraltar tobacco act gives the police far more powers than here. And the UN considers it a non self-governing territory, despite it having a...- JAperson

The Brexit Thread
Where are you basing this information? Because from all indicators I can see none of those is true. It's also not a tax haven (like several overseas territories) as it was part of the EU tax system for over 20 years, citizens payed the similar rate of tax of other EU countries. How does it...- JAperson

The Brexit Thread
I resolved never to post in this thread again but the Gibraltarian issue is something I care about. I am fascinated by the place and really want to visit. The Gibraltarians would rather stay with Britain, even if that means leaving the EU, for there loyalty we should find a solution. Plus if...- JAperson

Cedar Point: General Discussion
I just can't get over what an odd choice Zamperla is, but then I think what other manufactures could they get to do this? I mean it seems Cedar Fair don't want to work with Intamin so it leaves them with limited options.- JAperson

Alton Towers Time Machine, what year are you going to?
Yeah just walk in on the Lord having a cup of tea in the conservatory or whatever. I'm sure that would go down well. I admit it would be cool to see the house and gardens in a full state.- JAperson
