Ride Access Pass Systems and Disabled Access (pre 2024)

Easily fixed, have a turnstyle at the entrance and the devices show a barcode / contactless that only work when it's activated.

Ride Access Pass Systems and Disabled Access (pre 2024)

First of all, I think Merlin need a universal access / fastrack system across all their parks. In my opinion, the best system would be a virtual queueing system with a device such as Q-Bot or Speedy Pass. Disabled Access would be the advertised queue time at the time the ride is selected...

    The Merlin VIP Annual Pass

A 2 hour queue is too much for me and i'm not disabled.

    The Merlin VIP Annual Pass

Merlin are definately trying new passes at Thorpe. Just been on the website noticed these passes for ONE DAY!!! https://www.thorpepark.com/tickets-passes/vip-experiences

    The Merlin VIP Annual Pass

I already have a seperate parking pass for Thorpe. £21 is good value for the year and the seperate passes lowers the price of the season passes. This in turn makes it easier for Merlin to get people into renewing them.

    The Merlin VIP Annual Pass

Glad the VIP pass is going. I predict Merlin are going to push seperate park passes more now. (Annual Parking pass, Annual fastrack pass, Premium season pass etc.)

    Thorpe Park: General Discussion

Somewhat disagree, while overall it's not great I think the chips from Amity Fish & Chips are actually the best in the park. I think this is down to the fact they have different chip shop fryers, so if you're ever just after a bite to eat, I recommend getting chips from there. If they can't do...

    Thorpe Park: General Discussion

Fin's used to have a themed menu. I remember having something like a Saw twisted chilli cheese dog which was quite nice. I was hoping for something similar, was not expecting literally just a choice of cow, chicken or plant burger.

    Thorpe Park: General Discussion

What happened to the menu at Fins? Not eaten there in a while so we had a look and I was like "Is that it?" So we walked out and ended up in KFC. Even there, they started closing off areas around 4 and the park was open until 6. At least they still have the branded outlets for now.

    Stargazing Pods

It's concerning to hear there are only 6 toilets per sex. Health and Safety rules dictate a minimum of 5 toilets per 100 people so there should be at least 10 per sex. The reviews echo exactly everyone's concerns about this on here though.

    Blackpool Pleasure Beach: General Discussion

Valhalla is much better with waterproof cover trousers and walking boots (army surplus Goretex). Wallace & Gromit is the best dark ride in the UK IMO too. Avalance is the best Bobsled i've done. There's loads of great attractions at Blackpool it's easily a weekend park for me. Icon has really...

What is it that everyone who's visited likes so much about Europa Park?

My biggest criticism of Europa is that there are no drinking fountains. It should be a provided facility especially when it can get quite hot in the summer plus long opening hours.

    Thorpe Park: General Discussion

It does have a few teething issues being technology they've not used before. Hopefully it will get more reliable.

    Thorpe Park: General Discussion

On a positive note, the new coke freestyle RFID cup system has proved to be very popular now you don't need to queue at certain outlets and go straight to the machines around the park. Also there is annual pass discount and +2, +3 multibuy offers. I hope it's rolled out to the other parks.

    Thorpe Park: General Discussion

Taken last weekend, Rumba rapids repaint from a few seasons ago is already wrinkled and peeling off. Must be really cheap paint, looks worse and now the job needs doing again instead of doing it right the first time. Much of the recently painted areas are like this too to an extent but not as bad.

    2019: General Discussion

Towers Trading looks great! It really is so so frustrating when Merlin show us they CAN do good, fun, happy, colourful theming when they want to. :banghead:

    The Alton Towers Dungeon

So that's where all the cut down trees in the dark forest went. Got to use up that leftover wicker too! Molly Leigh, Molly Leigh, make annual passholder entry free.
