Rollercoaster Restaurant: General Discussion
They need to sort out the track where the food gets stuck all the time. Not great you have to wait for someone to come over to prod it with a stick while your dinner sits in the roof going cold.- Stuntman707

That’s actually a really good offer and Merlin keep hold of the new passholders for another season.- Stuntman707

If you have iOS12 i’ve created a shortcut so you can just ask Siri for queue times! (Go into shortcut settings and set a Siri phrase - I use “What are the queues like at Towers?”) https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/a8a95d6b987243be80a80d5e97bf5c8a- Stuntman707

Thorpe Park: General Discussion
Thorpe isn’t too bad when it comes to queue times. Chessington are far worse. And they oversell fastrack too which results in incredibly pee’d off guests and chaotic operations on a busy day.- Stuntman707

I get nervous around KMG Afterburners anyway after the recent fatality. You can hear the Vortex metalwork creeking and clicking when it’s under full stress. Very unsettling noise.- Stuntman707

Still doesn't make sense as some coasters are not always back row for disabled while others are.- Stuntman707

I always wonder why Merlin often put Disabled / RAP guests on the back most intense rows of coasters.- Stuntman707

Does anyone else sometimes feel a bit short changed after being on a ride/ attraction??
I remember someone once saying to me they didn’t like Rita because the ride was too short in length. They also said that their favourite ride was Oblivion.- Stuntman707

Do you find The Smiler rough?
I don’t know why people rate this ride so highly. Gerstlauer track develops horrible jolts after several years. I’ve never experienced a jolt on Nemesis to this day. Strangely Saw the ride is smoother in the rain, I can’t say I’ve done the Smiler in the rain yet so I can’t say if they’re both...- Stuntman707

Random Memories
Here are some maps starting with the absolute peak of Alton Towers glory days in my opinion, 2005. This was the year Rita opened along side the Corkscrew with TRRR playing classic rock music and a wonderful, magical atmosphere. We had McDonald’s, the Squirrel Nutty, Ripsaw, The Flume, Air &...- Stuntman707

Thorpe Park: General Discussion
There's increasing doubts over Fright Nights this year to be honest. People feared that Thorpe would burn out horror fans with The year of the Walking Dead, opening scare mazes early and people are indeed already getting tired of it now. Blair Witch will likely return as the theming has apeared...- Stuntman707

My plan for Thorpe Park in the future
Some nice ideas but pure fantasy. For Colossus, the supports have already started to be repainted over the last closed period. I can't see the trains being replaced on the older rides unless they have to be for mechanical reasons. The investments have already been made so don't expect any new...- Stuntman707

Containment should be available soon ;). I believe that's not returning for Fright Nights. Along with Big Top as it increasingly looks like the tent is not going to be built in time. RIP Big Top :( Apparently the team responsible for 2016/17 Fright Nights have left Thorpe this year, so proceed...- Stuntman707

Haha no, but Thorpe is the only Merlin theme park which doesn't have permanent accommodation. I believe Thorpe Shark is only a temporary arrangement and will eventually have to be dismantled.- Stuntman707
