    2025: Toxicator - General Discussion

In the images above, the graffiti is etched into the concrete, so removing pens will not make a difference to Toxicator. I agree that theming, walls, etc., should be out of arm's reach, more so in an area where you're predicting guests will wait a long time. The indoor queue on Th13teen you can...

[🌎 Universal GB] Impact on the UK market

I think that will be a challenge for Universal, although I'm sure with some clever marketing, they will be able to push sales. This is where Merlin, being the 'cheaper' option, will be beneficial to them to continue to keep guests flowing in, with Universal being perceived more as a...

Food & Beverage: The Aramark Era begins

I wonder if they base prices on the MAP discount and inflate accordingly. The only problem with this, though, is that it might put off visitors without a MAP. Either way, all guests will judge food and drink at face value. Prices are extortionate for the quality of the food. At the very least...

Food & Beverage: The Aramark Era begins

Double post, whip me. The food vans are back open in X-Sector. Disclaimer: If you have any heart problems I suggest you do not look at the prices below. :grimacing: Pictures in spoiler tag for those unable to access Facebook:

Which non-Blackpool seaside park in the UK is your favourite?

Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach for me, but in conjuction with a visit to Joyland. Great Yarmouth was my yearly summer holiday when I was a kid/young teen, so perhaps a bit of a biased view. Great Yarmouth is probably my second favourite seaside town/front just behind Blackpool.

Food & Beverage: The Aramark Era begins

That unit looks well-themed and done. It's just a shame they cannot consistently create high-quality theming like this. It only looks good because Monster likely paid for it.

    Ride Availability/Operations 2022-25

To be fair, operations at the end of last season were abysmal, arguably the worst they have ever been at Towers.

    Monorail Refurbishment

I thought we would never see the day. 😍 It’s a small change that makes all the difference.

    Disneyland Paris: General Discussion

I think Universal would only go as far as multilingual signage (English, French, and maybe Spanish). I highly doubt we will see multilingual rides and audio.

    2025: General Discussion

I agree. You get what you pay for, and it depends on what Merlin is paying/expecting RWS to provide. I guess we shall find out later this year! For one, I'm looking forward to seeing if Scarefest gets more of a shake-up.

    Monorail Refurbishment

I think at most you would have one stacked (at each station), but it was a very short delay if you were in said stacked train. It never felt like you were waiting for long in whatever part of the monorail you were in, whether in the queue, the station or a train. That's the key difference now...

    Monorail Refurbishment

When all the trains were running (and you could actually stand on the station platform), you would be constantly moving with minimal pauses. Unlike now, where you wait an eternity. They desperately need air gates to quicken dispatches.

    [🌎 Universal GB] General Discussion

I'm sure we'll see lots of entertainment, which will be wonderful. It will be a great time for performers wanting to enter the industry. I'm curious as to how late they would open the park, especially in the summer months. If you do a nightly fireworks/light/drone show, come the summer months...

    [2026] CBeebies Land Junior Coaster

Overpriced food, poor operations, no entertainment and the removal and SBNO of rides. Every Brit's dream. 🥰

    [2026] CBeebies Land Junior Coaster

Wasn't it meant to be a general maintenance area for the whole of CBeebies Land? Maybe with all the outsourcing and changes within Merlin in the last few months, they no longer need this area. I would guess the plans for this were long before Merlin decided to centralise and outsource.

Universal GB - Archived Post Announcement Discussion

I've mentioned LOTR to a few people, and they have reacted very positively to it as an IP. So there's certainly interest there. I would have my bets on Wicked/Wizard of Oz for a 'big reveal' IP.

Universal GB - Archived Post Announcement Discussion

Given the Warner Bros. rights, I don't think it’s any surprise that HP won’t be part of the initial park, although I wouldn't rule it out for future phases. I'm not particularly bothered about what IPs we get. It will be nice to see a park of such high quality in the UK. Regarding the UK...

Universal GB - Archived Pre Announcement Discussion

Daily Mirror front cover seems to suggest this will be a government-led announcement. I wonder if that's new concept art, if so, exciting times!

    Oakwood Discussion

Oakwood was always your obligatory school theme park trip when I was younger. I think from 2010 onwards, it became more common for schools to arrange trips to the bigger parks with the extra hour+ journey. My year group in high school was the first year group ever to not go to Oakwood and...

Universal GB - Archived Pre Announcement Discussion

It feels like odd timing for an announcement, you would think Universal would wait until all the Epic Universe hype dies down.
