Flat Rides: What would you like to see come to the park?
I think once the sky ride is open this will be a lot less of an issue. If they were to spend money on any transportation, I’d rather them pile it into the monorail. And in reality I can’t see them budgeting for Nemesis, Horizon, Flat rides and then a transportation ride on top. Just seems a...- Connor98

Thorpe Park: General Discussion
Might as well make the whole park USA themed. Seems a very easy option to me. Understand why they’ve done it, but would love to see some more imagination myself.- Connor98

[202X] Project Horizon (SW9?): Planning Approved
It’s going to have to be a compact ride design. I think it rules out a lot of manufacturers and models. Still leaning towards Zamperla or maybe intamin myself. But Zamperla seems to make the most sense, more affordable, small track design and they seem to be a lot more trusted in the industry...- Connor98

Flat Rides: What would you like to see come to the park?
Is there any point arguing over what’s a kiddie coaster and what isn’t? It doesn’t add anything to the discussion. Anyone can enjoy any coaster without them having to be classified as this or that.- Connor98

The Retrosquad: General Discussion
I wish when doing such things people would just say it’s fan art. Instead they leave it cryptic and hope it triggers needless rumours and clicks for their page. Nothing wrong with fan art, I enjoy seeing it. But I also like it to be labelled as so.- Connor98

Food & Beverage: The Aramark Era begins
Friends of mine visited for the first time since the takeover of Aramark, they commented straight away about the reduction in food offering, quality and price you pay for it. Saying the burger was “the worst they’d ever had” and the service was awful too. F&B goes a long way towards a customers...- Connor98

[2024] Nemesis Reborn: Construction and Speculation
I’ve maybe said this a few times now but this is how you do theme park marketing! Enough connection to the original story so devoted fans like ourself are happy and engaged, yet still managing to chime with the general public too. With both Curse and now this it’s definitely safe to say their...- Connor98

Fireworks 2023 🎆
Does anyone know if they have covered the lawns this year like previous years? Their Facebook post indicates otherwise by advising people wear suitable footwear on the lawns.- Connor98

[2024] Nemesis Reborn: Construction and Speculation
It was always going to be hard for them to live up to those standards, but I think half of it is just pure nostalgia on our part. Had we never seen nemesis before I’m sure we’d be absolutely over the moon with a detailed paint job like we have received. But alas memories of the past will always...- Connor98

Six Flags and Cedar Fair to Merge
Six flags parks always incorporate the six flags brand into park names. It makes a park lose identity in my option! How awful would it be if uk parks were called Merlin Alton Towers or Merlin Thorpe Park. Overly corporate and soulless in my eyes, so I really hope they don’t slap in on the front...- Connor98

Ride Availability/Operations 2022-25
They definitely know how crucial it will be to them in terms of capacity at fireworks and are working to get it open but until we see testing, there is no indication it will open. Hopefully it’s not a repeat of the smiler in 2021! However that was a much more extended closure. I’m also taking...- Connor98

Fireworks 2023 🎆
Wind doesn’t seem like it will be a huge issue in terms of speed but the direction may cause some issues as @Rob says. Wind speed forecasted on Saturday at the time of the fireworks are very low (6mph). However the Friday and Sunday are slightly higher at around 12-16mph. Which is similar to the...- Connor98

[2024] Nemesis Reborn: Construction and Speculation
The thing is, it probably will. But could easily suffer the same fate as wicker man! Aging theming and neglect of effects. Let’s hope things change after this but looking at the presentation of certain attractions in the park it makes it hard for me to have any confidence in this.- Connor98

Ride Availability/Operations 2022-25
Im very far from an expert in this and it is definitely beyond their control in the current circumstances but do people think it’s beyond the realms of possibility that a places that calls themselves “Britain’s greatest escape” have a stronger backup plan for situations like this. However when...- Connor98

Ride Availability/Operations 2022-25
Maybe I’m missing something but it seems towers struggle with this issue quite a lot in recent history. Does anyone have any idea wether they fall victim to it more than other UK and European parks? They are in a very secluded location so that might explain it but surely mitigating measures...- Connor98

Ride Availability/Operations 2022-25
I agree they need to reintroduce them. It not only helps out the single riders but also the main queue lines. And seeing full trains being sent helps keep people happy that the park are doing all they can capacity wise, nothing worse than standing in a long oblivion line watching empty seat...- Connor98
