You Know You're Addicted to Alton Towers (and tst) When....
When you order a different meal to your friends but still eat in the same seating area "to try out all the food outlets of the park" - and Eastern Express is actually worth it I might add.- Stelios

2016: Air - Re-theme to VR Coaster - Galactica
Has anyone else noticed that they shade of blue for the air tunnel lights keep on changing, these dark blue ones aren't blinding like the last ones but aren't sky blue or nothing at all like before? They seem like temporary ones from Scarefest or something to be. Or maybe its just my silent...- Stelios

How Busy?
My visit today, everything was walk on bar a 5 minute wait for Rita on front row at 11, Air was a 5 minute queue and later advertised as 10, Spinball and various CBeebies rides peaked at 50, and food stalls just aren't being staffed, so less upsellers and more ride time. Win win for the consumer...- Stelios

Media Coverage of Alton Towers
Went today, wasn't this bad. Largest Queue advertised all day was for Spinball and CBeebies land rides. Photos are of different sizes and not that good photos themselves in terms of framing so I'm sure some cropping would do, take everything with a pinch of salt as everything - especially the...- Stelios

Incident on The Smiler 02/06/2015
Whilst I can understand why people would be upset. It wouldn't have made even The Mirror if Alton hadn't had all this bad press recently with the horrible incident. But judging by the articles poll being an even split above and Merlin's quote will probably make me believe they'll stay for the...- Stelios

Incident on The Smiler 02/06/2015
IKR. He even called it "The Smiling" earlier too, he has the typical conspiracy theorist voice too - and not just Ameircan. Anyway back more on topic, scanning the front pages the tabs are cooing down on this story as suspected. Isn't it illegal for the media to flout about figures on a closed...- Stelios

Favourite Place To Sit
The eternal debate continues. Love how niche this topic is but for me I like to sit in stagnant queuelines or on more serious matters on the rocks at the middle or end of a day. Seems to be the GP's favourite too, otherwise we'd have a lot more benches methinks. The Lawns are okay on a hot day...- Stelios

Nintendo Wii help.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past like most SNES Games costs 800 Wii Points (about £8) back in the day with Wii Points Cards, but eShop cards can also be used to convert into Wii Points so I'm unsure on the exchange rate there for eShop credit to Wii Points, but I know that it will be less...- Stelios

Scarefest 2015
With The Smiler logo being the focal point of the Scarefest Pumpkin on that poster, it would seem logical that The Sanctuary would return, but its close ties to The Smiler just don't make it seem likely to come back for with all its associated imagery and fear of messing with your mind sort of...- Stelios

My my, me gusta. If we ever had a Flamenco themed monorail, that would be the tune. Also apparently from just Googling, the composer from the Nintendo 64 gameYoshi's Story is quoted on record of taking inspiration from ITHOMK. IDK, I kinda get it but eh. Sweet game.- Stelios

Football Discussion
Anyone else watching the Women's World Cup? Really refreshing to watch football without all the stoppages of men not getting back up, playing for fouls and time-wasting at a minimum etc. England are sub-par though. No surprises there.- Stelios

Incident on The Smiler 02/06/2015
Whilst I must commend the media for getting their facts wrong (seen a few Neil Varney mispellings hear and there, The Mirror's hyperbole and opening dates for The Smiler Game months off), it sickens me to the core that a mountain is being made of a molehill now that whenever a ride goes down its...- Stelios

Which ride will be removed next? (Poll reset 20.06.2017)
I feel with the recent opening and general good PR in publicly announcing what's best for the victims and increased safety protocols, The Smiler doesn't NEED to shut from a reputation point of view. Polls suggest that many of us and the GP will still ride it. (As much as the spoon-fed redtop...- Stelios

2017/18: SW8 Speculation
I always thought SW8 was coming too soon, same with any 3 year plan. Double figure millions every 3 years still in times of austerity! But certainly priorities on a whole new safety program for all Merlin parks could cost just as much as SW8 for all we know and would be regarded as a priority...- Stelios

Incident on The Smiler 02/06/2015
Given that "everyone's an expert" in this sort of situation, but thanks again Bantanium for sharing this, adds quite the twist to this tale. If it is Gerts. fault, how can there be other evidence to prove it is there fault without any other accidents on the two rides of recent years similar to...- Stelios

Incident on The Smiler 02/06/2015
Special merit must also got to the Towers Social media staff, particuarly Twitter where in cases they may personally or just copy paste replies to as many concerned and politely inquisitive guests as possible. A bit shaken by this event, respect to all those in distress. I just fear what this...- Stelios

Eurovision 2015
China? China? Really wow. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/tvandradio/eurovision/11405449/If-Australia-is-in-Eurovision-whos-next.html Well I never, I know the US are getting into tune with their Eurovision, and I wouldn't mind a bit of K-Pop invading but I wouldn't imagine it would be China's...- Stelios

Eurovision 2015
That moment when you forget to return to TST for your yearly Eurovision visit. I do apologise. Sweden was alright but I preferred other songs of recent Swedish years like "Euphoria" or "Popular". Aussie for permanent member anyone? Would certainly spice things up.- Stelios
