Thorpe Park: General Discussion
It was running until around 11 last night. Waited 2 hours 20 to the minute for it, half an hour faster than advertised. They were churning trains out as fast as they could, sprinting down the station. In my defence it was for my first ride, we'd spent the day at LLW and Chessie so thought...- Martin

Are you a doer or a relaxer on holiday?
Always been a do-er, if not a theme park then a city. Used to get bored on family holidays as a kid going to a resort in the Canaries or something and not really doing anything. But after spending time in Phú Quốc on our honeymoon in 2022 we decided to mix it up last year and stayed in a villa...- Martin

Planet Coaster 2: General Discussion
Yeah, I have a 2023 Asus Zenbook Duo Pro (one of those gimmicky ones with the second screen above the keyboard, very useful for design software (great idea for PC2 to have a feature where all the menus and pop ups and things can go on the bottom screen)) and on paper it has all the specs to run...- Martin

Where is your local park and how often do you visit?
Growing up it was Gullivers Warrington, which I remember going pretty regularly for years. It's still close but there's nothing for me there even they didn't have their policy of not letting adults in without children. Nowadays unless you count Knowsley Safari Park having a cred and the fair at...- Martin

Energylandia and Legendia by car - advice
Got a little trip next month to Energylandia and Legendia. Staying in Zator the first two nights for Energylandia then heading into Katowice for an afternoon at Legendia. The current plan is to rent a car from the airport for the duration (4 days), are the quotes we're getting of like £20...- Martin

Nemesis Reborn: General Discussion
Very very niche question, but if this isn't the place to ask it, nowhere is Does anyone know why the left hand seat of row 7 has those little red brace things on the back, and no other seat? What's that about?- Martin

The "Look What I Made!" Topic.
Had a go at making a film poster Tried to capture the sibling/duality concept woven into the film's setting, characters and structure, and hint at the zero-g set piece Also including a first draft and an alternative idea, just couldn't get the droplets looking right, still have a lot to learn- Martin

Drop towers or shot towers?
Too easy Leaving out things like Mystery Castle and Tower Of Tower I'd probably say drop towers. I miss Apocalypse at Drayton and Atmosphere at Liseberg genuinely had me scared. I do feel that if they're too big they start losing impact though, Condor at PA for example I just got bored half way...- Martin

UK Politics General Discussion
He's had a court rule he's legally allowed to have people assassinated, he's talked openly about wanting to do it and is intensely relaxed about it happening to opponents. Bumping off your enemies is in fact the most American thing ever. He's not exactly a fan of democracy himself and makes no...- Martin

UK Politics General Discussion
The debt that would be accrued from nationalising energy would be to the Bank of England, and would be guaranteed to be paid off because everyone needs energy. That's not debt in the same way as me getting a loan from Halifax. Or they could actually tax these multi multi multi billionaires and...- Martin

A sovereign nation (one of the richest in the world) with its own central bank and own currency, can afford to nationalise revenue generating key infrastructure, and not doing so is pure ideology, not practicality. They're choosing to bring back PFI because that's what they believe in.- Martin
