Thorpe Park: General Discussion
As I've said over on TPM, at what point do they just go and hire a load of funfair rides for each season? No maintenance required by the park and a constant rotation of flat rides. Who cares? Merlin clearly don't see Thorpe as strictly a theme park any more. They just want to fill it with cheap...- Stuntman707

Thorpe Park: General Discussion
As it's above the track, i've come to the conclusion that it would be a health and safety nightmare to replace. Merlin are beyond cautious about health and safety now. They won't even dispatch the Flying fish with anyone or staff on the bridge, Imagine all the BS they would have to go through to...- Stuntman707

Thorpe Park: General Discussion
Thorpe is supposed to be a a high thrills park. Not a kids park when Chessington and Legoland are next door. Thorpe have no direction, no vision to guide where the park is going. No idea who it's aimed at and no long term plans. Adding kids flat rides in old town, then making X horror themed...- Stuntman707

Ride Access Pass Systems and Disabled Access (pre 2024)
The thing I can't get my head around is if you have no concept of time or queueing, the worst place to go to is a theme park. Queueing to any degree in life is unavoidable and waiting your turn behind people who were there before you is hardly an abstract, entirely logical concept. I'm not...- Stuntman707

Ride Access Pass Systems and Disabled Access (pre 2024)
I want to add, any system will flat out not work if it is over sold / issued to too many people. It doesn't matter what the system is, it needs to be limited to actually work.- Stuntman707

Ride Access Pass Systems and Disabled Access (pre 2024)
It's not a ridiculous suggestion though really. This system is used all accross London on the tube / railways. Either they hire someone to stand at the entrances or put in some kind of gates. (which don't need paying every year)- Stuntman707

Ride Access Pass Systems and Disabled Access (pre 2024)
Easily fixed, have a turnstyle at the entrance and the devices show a barcode / contactless that only work when it's activated.- Stuntman707

Ride Access Pass Systems and Disabled Access (pre 2024)
First of all, I think Merlin need a universal access / fastrack system across all their parks. In my opinion, the best system would be a virtual queueing system with a device such as Q-Bot or Speedy Pass. Disabled Access would be the advertised queue time at the time the ride is selected...- Stuntman707

The Merlin VIP Annual Pass

The Merlin VIP Annual Pass
I already have a seperate parking pass for Thorpe. £21 is good value for the year and the seperate passes lowers the price of the season passes. This in turn makes it easier for Merlin to get people into renewing them.- Stuntman707

The Merlin VIP Annual Pass
Glad the VIP pass is going. I predict Merlin are going to push seperate park passes more now. (Annual Parking pass, Annual fastrack pass, Premium season pass etc.)- Stuntman707

Thorpe Park: General Discussion
Somewhat disagree, while overall it's not great I think the chips from Amity Fish & Chips are actually the best in the park. I think this is down to the fact they have different chip shop fryers, so if you're ever just after a bite to eat, I recommend getting chips from there. If they can't do...- Stuntman707

Thorpe Park: General Discussion
Fin's used to have a themed menu. I remember having something like a Saw twisted chilli cheese dog which was quite nice. I was hoping for something similar, was not expecting literally just a choice of cow, chicken or plant burger.- Stuntman707

Thorpe Park: General Discussion
What happened to the menu at Fins? Not eaten there in a while so we had a look and I was like "Is that it?" So we walked out and ended up in KFC. Even there, they started closing off areas around 4 and the park was open until 6. At least they still have the branded outlets for now.- Stuntman707

Stargazing Pods
It's concerning to hear there are only 6 toilets per sex. Health and Safety rules dictate a minimum of 5 toilets per 100 people so there should be at least 10 per sex. The reviews echo exactly everyone's concerns about this on here though.- Stuntman707

Blackpool Pleasure Beach: General Discussion
Valhalla is much better with waterproof cover trousers and walking boots (army surplus Goretex). Wallace & Gromit is the best dark ride in the UK IMO too. Avalance is the best Bobsled i've done. There's loads of great attractions at Blackpool it's easily a weekend park for me. Icon has really...- Stuntman707

What is it that everyone who's visited likes so much about Europa Park?
My biggest criticism of Europa is that there are no drinking fountains. It should be a provided facility especially when it can get quite hot in the summer plus long opening hours.- Stuntman707
