Legoland Windsor
Hopefully the Windor one ends up just as detailed too, things like the fire truck and siimilar are better on the New York one.- jon81uk

Legoland Windsor
At a guess, maybe the LEGOLAND letters will get added above the white bar, so it will say Legoland Windsor Resort.- jon81uk

Toyland Tours
Because they thought a Charlie & the Chocolate Factory ride would be more popular. But that only had a ten year license.- jon81uk

2025: Toxicator - General Discussion
They were 8-10 years ago. Since they the park has generally either not had scare zones or made sure they are out of the way from normal pathways.- jon81uk

No the tunnel is needed to allow circulation and for people to get to Toxicator, Galactica and Rollercoaster restaurant. they generally only put scares where you don't need to cross that area to get to something else.- jon81uk

Oakwood Discussion
Also need to make the right investments. Hydro was a bad idea really even before the accident. If they had kept with megaphobia being the big attraction and focused on small/medium more charming family stuff it might have worked. I agree overall the park isn't in a great location full of holiday...- jon81uk

Oakwood Discussion
Its very much in the wishful thinking realm but the only way I see it surviving is if Bluestone next door take it on. Its plausible, but very unlikely. Personally I wish I wasn't so much of a wimp back on a scout camp in 1997 age 15/16 and wish I just rode Megaphobia back then.- jon81uk

But that would (likely) be a different job description for a different role, (likely) without as much focus on matrix management. You can't compare a massive corporate structure to a family owned one and most applicants for the role would know that. So hard to say its a poisoned chalice if you...- jon81uk

Sorry there was an and missing, it should be control and responsibility. But the advert does state "able to align operations with business goals and pivot efficiently when required", "full P&L responsibility" and makes it clear you need "Stakeholder management skills" and "a collaborative...- jon81uk

[2026]Bluey Coaster in CBeebies Land
Your comments seemed to present change as being a bad thing. "That's the trouble with all ips all change over time where as original themes remain timeless" which implies you think the changes are bad. Not "Its good that Alton Towers have kept up to date with the current shows on CBeebies, but...- jon81uk

[2026]Bluey Coaster in CBeebies Land
But whats the problem with this? Its a good thing to keep the land up to date with the current characters appearing on CBeebies. Also it doesn't matter whether its a ride or not, all types of attractions make up a good theme park, not just rides.- jon81uk

[2026]Bluey Coaster in CBeebies Land
Not correct, Justin's House pie factory and the Sensory Garden are not significantly changed. Also Get Set Go is the same theme just a new track route. I would say the fact the land has changed a few times over the ten years is a positive, updating with new characters is exactly what this sort...- jon81uk

Merlin run their own hotel bookings, its not Holiday Extras any more. The existance of Studios North made little difference to the park really, they would have still needed to sort out the budget to pay them, now they need to sort out the budget to pay an external contractor instead of an...- jon81uk

The Studios North that was at Alton Towers was mainly just a prop-making studio. Studios North had nothing to do with Alton Towers or the VP/Director of the park. The actual creative direction is mainly under John Burton and I assume his office is down in Acton (west London, Merlin Magic Magic...- jon81uk

2025: General Discussion
The creative side has always been Tussauds Studios or Merlin Magic Making really. Maybe it could have more focus on ensuring maintenance of creative elements is done correctly (ie that show scenes in rides look as good at five years as the did in the first year), but that is likely the technical...- jon81uk

Build Hyperia right and you could of had a dark ride under the supports as well as the coaster a bit like older wooden coasters having buildings under them!- jon81uk
