Brit Pop Appreciation Thread
A few from me.... Everyone remembers Virtual Insanity, but the Jamiroquai track we played at parties (at my best mates place in the middle of nowhere in the Kent countryside) was Cosmic Girl. True fact: the first album I bought was by The Lightning Seeds. The riff from 'Life of Riley' was...- Kelpie

EU Referendum
Interesting suggestion from Michael Heseltine tonight that the person leading the negotiations in Brussels does not necessarily have to be the Prime Minister. A negotiating team could be put together, led by Boris and Gove of course as they were so insistent the UK leaves the EU, while the PM...- Kelpie

EU Referendum
I'm reading up on the info on how to apply for an Irish passport, as I feel that my British one that I only renewed in January is going to be worthless soon enough (I mean it has 'European Union' plastered over the front). Two passports for easy travel around all our favourite theme parks on the...- Kelpie

As @DiogoJ42 insists I must post some photo's, here's a selection of cakes and whatnot I've made over the last couple of years... (I don't claim to be a great decorator though) The now annual tradition of baking Creme Egg themed goods: Sticky Toffee Pudding Cake - started out as Diogo's...- Kelpie

TowersStreet Awards 2015 - Your Winners!
I will admit, I'd have been disappointed for my car not to have won 'meet fail of the year' because it did so rightfully deserve it! But I am touched it garnered so many nominations for the award! :p And proof is in the pictures. Here it is in all it's failing glory, leaving Phantasialand to...- Kelpie

Quick question - is the award voting open for a week as stated, which means it closes this Sunday 17th? Or closes as stated on Sunday 24th, so it's open for two weeks? :)- Kelpie

Mini Meet HamSosche 2: Hamburg, Heide-Park & Hansa-Park
Oh :( I can't do a summer trip so count me out then. I'm now only allowed 16 leave days between 23rd July - 9th September. Still interested @AstroDan if this continues to be in the potential offing :D Would love to go to Hamburg! Only issue for me now is the huge amount of leave dates I've already inquired about for 2016 and been refused... :(- Kelpie

Labour Leadership Debate!
Off subject a little, but I was born with a congenital heart defect - my old consultant would be proud I now go on rollercoasters in my spare time! :D I have nothing but praise for what the NHS did for me, and more recently my mum after a serious accident which is why I feel its imperative it...- Kelpie

Labour Leadership Debate!
Same, I'm not a Labour voter, but I get to vote in the leadership elections as a union member! Did last time round as well, plus also this time for the deputy leader and London mayoral candidate. I'm undecided how I'm going to rank them all yet, as we have to place them in order of preference...- Kelpie

Ride/park accidents 2015
Should they need to? There's the ride, there's a fence keeping me away from it. He'd just been on the ride, so knew how large, solid and fast it goes. The park have taken reasonable steps to keep the public safe from being hurt without spoiling the experience, that's their responsibility, and...- Kelpie

Ride/park accidents 2015
Echoing really - sympathy for the guests on the train that struck the man, sympathy for any witnesses, and sympathy for those who had to deal with the incident. I hope they will have plenty of support, for some it may be extremely traumatic. But not really sorry for the guest who's died, I'm sad...- Kelpie

Emerald Park (Formerly Tayto Park), Dublin: General Discussion
idk, look at our weather but Thorpe has Tidal Wave and inexplicably always has someone going on it! Log flumes are always popular so it makes sense from their standpoint to encourage visitors by building one - it also has family appeal. Technically Ireland already has one in a travelling form...- Kelpie

Incident on The Smiler 02/06/2015
She will still be able to drive an automatic - with it being her left leg affected an automatic car won't need any adaptions made to it as you don't have a clutch, and the other two pedals are operated with your right foot. It's a small thing, but important in the realms of the lots of things...- Kelpie
