London Underground
I think West Ruislip would be fine as well and remain as a branch line even if this extention to Uxbridge opened - apart from also being a mainline station, where it is located is the main thing. It's the nearest Central Line station to Ruislip High street and bang in the middle of a mass of...- Kelpie

London Underground
lol, I was just reading that same article! I'm not sure how it can continue straight on from West Ruislip to Ickenham as the lines continue under the road and off following the Chiltern line completely the wrong way, unless they'd rebuild the West Ruislip station tube platforms to be on a...- Kelpie

London Underground
I love the older stations too, but I personally do like Westminster Station of the Jubilee line extension. The rest I can leave tbh (including Canary Wharf): Interesting about extending the Central Line - I believe originally it was intended to go beyond West Ruislip towards Denham. I doubt...- Kelpie

London Underground
If you want to ever get from Bank to Canon Street, walk above ground on the street tbh. Five mins, if that, it's just round the corner. Interesting to see how Crossrail will figure within its layout! It's more crazy that if you interchange from Charing Cross mainline to the Bakerloo line CX...- Kelpie

BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2012
Hoy won previously (2008 after those Olympics), so I'm not sure he'd win again against the other very strong/stronger contenders on the list. Ditto on Andy Murray also being in with a shot of a gong - beyond the Gold & Silver in the Olympics, on a personality aspect as well as sporting...- Kelpie

BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2012
Personally.... hmm, I think Bradley Wiggins for both the Tour De France and Olympic wins and it's a good bet he probably will win (esp not being tainted at all by the TdF doping scandals), or David Weir for his four Paralympic gold medals in 800m, 1500m, 5000m and marathon (not going to see any...- Kelpie

Would the world be a safer place if Hitler had won the war?
Well as the Ferengi put it in their Rules of Aquisition: 34: War is good for business 35: Peace is good for business While we know that the USA were developing the atom bomb anyway, and it's right to state they would have used it against the Japanese regardless of how the rest of the war...- Kelpie

Would the world be a safer place if Hitler had won the war?
No one said a 'better' place. The question is a safer place. Not the same thing by a long shot. The simple answer is of course for some it would be better and safer, and others would be worse and decidedly more dangerous. There's nothing wrong with conjecture and speculation. NO ONE is saying...- Kelpie

Scarefest Costumes 2012.
Rowe, you might appreciate this blog that a friend on FB had a link for on her page. I've linked to the pic's only version, but you can see the comments & bloggers responses if you want elsewhere. It's an interesting side by side comparison of male/female produced versions of the same halloween...- Kelpie

Camp TST - 2013
Re-iterating Diogo really, but most public campsites wont allow it. Probably the only ones are Scout/Guide sites as we cook on alter fires.... and most have a campfire circle of some kind. Unless someone has a massive back garden we could camp in, ie. we'd be on private land with owners...- Kelpie

Camp TST - 2013
I love Guide camp :D Which isn't exactly the same as regular camping! Very sorely tempted to take them all camping at Chessington WOA next year though ;) Haven't exactly done much of the usual family/friends type otherwise. Incidentally, I can't think of any times it hasn't rained while camping...- Kelpie

Fastrack - more being sold?
I like DLP's (and all Disney Parks having used it in Aneheim too) FastTrack system. Main point being it's free, and fully timed. And at both parks I've never used it for every ride, just the couple where you know the queue is huge and there really is little other option (DLA - Splash Mountain...- Kelpie

Fastrack - more being sold?
As a thought on this - if this is indeed the case, that FastTrack is being pushed by over exaggeration of queue length times etc - that it could be considered a case for Trading Standards? False advertising, information and selling? I loathe 'pay for FT'with a passion anyway - it's clearly not...- Kelpie

The Gay Marriage Topic!
To specify a few things - in the UK the ONLY church where the Vicar automatically has the power/status of registrar conferred upon them and the building automatically approved to hold marriages is the Church of England. All other branches of the Christian faith (Catholic, Methodist, Baptist...- Kelpie

TowersStreet - Make Your Mark
Same! Well actually I started out with a pencil and bit of paper for mine, high tech I know! ;D Then I used GIMP after scanning it into my pc (though I have no graphics training - everything I learned I did through MS Paint & Word and it's only during the last year I downloaded the programme so...- Kelpie

Well I gave it a go! I'm personally not sure it works so well as having all the text below, but it's an option: Here it is with no text below at all :) And a variant for each section of the site: *now to go and submit them all! ;D*- Kelpie

TowersStreet - Make Your Mark
Ta guys! The font for the 'Towers Street' text is changeable, if the site team have something in mind already for their branding :D I just used that one as an example (trying to find something closeish to the T & S which are taken from Alton's own logo!) lol, I mostly was trying to design...- Kelpie
