What are you listening to?
Don't know if you mean the early stuff which was basically Satanic Panic nonsense and the Nazism slanders they themselves parodied, or the more recent allegations? A year or two ago there was some extremely credible accusations of Very Bad things being done to women by members of the band and...- Martin

[2024] Voltron Nevera | Mack Stryker Coaster
I'd imagine it just speeds up people getting on the train as there's no relative speed difference to worry about, you just walk on like nothing is moving- Martin

In all seriousness though I wonder how many acts weren't planning on saying anything and just doing their set without comment until the completely avoidable controversy blew up. For example I saw BCNR earlier this month at Primavera and they weren't decked out in flags then- Martin

Calling for the defeat of an occupying army (how can it be incitement to violence as if it's possible for anyone in the crowd to harm the iof) is not the same as inciting people to burn down mosques and hotels full of desperate people come on now- Martin

They definitely headlined twice, first time was when they had to step in last minute in 95, they had their 'own' set in 98- Martin

BBC festival coverage has been struggling with sound for a while. I remember how bad it was at Reading the other year for Billie EIlish. First 20 minutes you couldn't hear her vocals at all because they'd gone too far the other way with the crowd noise. They do sometimes get it right to be fair...- Martin

Roughest Coasters
It took me until literally last year to finally ride Colossus, got on the back row and after nearly two decades of hearing about how bad it is, it was fine lol especially when Saw is right there- Martin

Wildest memories from the COVID-19 pandemic period?
Wasn't there like a week in lockdown 2 or 3 when Wales decided you couldn't buy alcohol or have it delivered after like 7PM? Probably the funniest of all the rules tbh- Martin

They were great, definitely catch up. Great line up this year except the pyramid stage headliners. Neil Young is one of the greats of course but feels like they just saw how popular McCartney and Elton were and just went "who else from back in the day is neither dead or in prison" when they...- Martin

Shame about NIN, I saw them at the MEN in 2014 and it was one of the best sounding gigs I've ever been to. Despite closing the upper tier it didn't sound empty, or even like it was in a huge arena at all, in fact it somehow sounded raw and almost intimate, as if it was at a tiny sweaty venue.- Martin

Live music, gigs, and concerts discussion.
Back from Primavera last week, incredible festival. Some thoughts Charli was a disappointment sadly, trying to put her mate over instead of just doing her own thing didn't work and every time he came on stage loads of people went to the bar or the toilet, proper buzz kill. The Saturday was...- Martin
