Smiler vs Nemesis
There’s a feeling I get on Nemesis dropping off that lift hill and into the first corkscrew, it’s just so unique and magical it can’t be explained. The Smiler just doesn’t do that to me, my favourite part about cresting the lift hills on The Smiler is the views of the towers and beyond… not the...- Connor98

Smiler vs Nemesis
Nemesis by an absolute country mile for me, it’s a layout with purpose and not just loops for loops sake. A lot more re rideable too- Connor98

[2025] Toxicator: New Forbidden Valley Suspended Top Spin
It’s very intriguing to see the plans for this project, I was thinking to myself towers are known for digging down for their attractions, so would this be the first major project to be elevated above an area instead of level to or in a pit/hole?. I’m struggling to think of any obvious examples- Connor98

[2024] Nemesis Reborn: Construction and Speculation
One thing that only just crossed my mind is the monster sound effects on its final day, I really hope it returns. Would fit the reborn story line well and sounded fantastic that day. Bang some good subs in the area and get that roar pumping out please 🙏🏼- Connor98

X-Sector's Future (including Oblivion and The Smiler)
I could see an oblivion refresh being easier to sell than Nemesis too. But unlike Nemesis, there would need to be a change to the ride to make it worthwhile, maybe Floorless trains would go well with the marketing team one day.- Connor98

X-Sector's Future (including Oblivion and The Smiler)
That would only be about 500 people in The Smiler queue with such capacity ;)- Connor98

[2024] Nemesis Reborn: Construction and Speculation
We haven’t heard the soundtrack yet, seen any set pieces or lighting in person, felt the atmosphere on a park day. It’s all a presumptuous in my opinions to just go off some drone shots of an unfinished project. I do agree the fencing looks very bland. But I’ll reserve full judgement until I see...- Connor98

PortAventura: General Discussion
Another article here via Twitter (Spanish), shows a photo of an area taped off. Seems luck nobody was seriously injured, and from what I’ve read the accident was caused by a fallen tree or branch on the track. EDIT- the article mentions “two critical”, but I haven’t seen mention of this...- Connor98

[2024] Nemesis Reborn: Construction and Speculation
I doubt it, doesn’t look anything like permanent lighting to me, also placing a searchlight directly in the queue where it can be easily tampered with by guests is a no no. Whatever it is I’m glad they themed it with black paint.- Connor98

Galactica: General Discussion
Toyland Tours, Air, Ug Land and The Black Hole. I was only a kid myself at that time so my memory is cloudy. I’d pay a lot to be able to have experienced it all as an adult.- Connor98

Food & Beverage: The Aramark Era begins
I’ve already lost that, I’ve been having a gin in the evening I must admit. But I’ve not been out for a while on the drink now. thanks for the kick up the rear @GooseOnTheLoose 😂 And on topic again I’m going to probably do as @rob666 says. Packed lunch in the car parks, but might be a little...- Connor98

Drayton Manor Park
As far as I know , Danielle was a very respected member of staff at the park. My guess is it’s a case of poaching from Towers/Merlin and not a shake up by Drayton.- Connor98

Food & Beverage: The Aramark Era begins
That looks just slapped together without any care, but obviously merlin don’t care as people are buying it. I won’t be giving them my money for f&b this year which is a shame because eating on park is part of my usual day. Also can no longer justify paying for alcohol at the current price. It’s...- Connor98

The I Feel Happy Topic!
Another 5k run today, starting to feel the real benefits . Flying back to the UK tomorrow to start my new job too! Back to being a chef after the pandemic decimated the industry. I’ve also put my name on a new motorbike! So many summer rides to theme parks this year. Plenty to look forward to...- Connor98

[2025] Toxicator: New Forbidden Valley Suspended Top Spin
Yes makes sense. As impressive a spectacle it would be I’m not sure the ride experience looks much to shout about😂. Hopefully it’s a floorless Top Spin, great capacity and just so much fun for both spectator and rider.- Connor98

[2024] Nemesis Reborn: Construction and Speculation
I’d guess it’s for Alton after dark! But could also be for a commercial. I remember when the smiler was set to open they added moving heads around the area to create some very impressive promotional images.- Connor98

Any idea what team are working on it? I know RCS are over at Drayton and the progress they have made is very impressive. Am I right to guess this is the same people who worked on Nemesis?- Connor98
