London Entertainment Resort: All Discussion
I agree with some that there is a gap in the market, possibly near London, for a newly built theme park to help compete, but a project of this huge size and massive cost was never going to be it. I think it's pretty clear that parks that start smaller but grow larger as there brands grows do...- JAperson

Remembering John Broome
I do think the park should perhaps post something on there socials and perhaps dedicate a tree or bench in his honour.- JAperson

Skyride General Discussion
It doesn't have to be something as obnoxious as that, there is plenty of brands that could sponsor something like the skyride without it looking horrible. For example some kind of transportation company or airline. I wasn't aware of quite how much had been replaced, I knew about the station...- JAperson

Alton Towers Social Media
I actually prefer this new font, it's easier to read and clearer. It's not a massive change but overall I think this is perhaps the only thing they're doing right in the social media and marketing department at the moment. I mean all these cringy video's make no sense but at least they're using...- JAperson

Skyride General Discussion
I hope they'll replace the relevant parts but the problem is, will it just happen again? Surely it might actually need a full scale refurb, which would be expensive, and not very marketable. Perhaps this might be one good time for a sponsor, with the skyride not being all that heavily themed...- JAperson

Surreal news articles
I didn't expect to see this article today. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/jul/31/chinese-zoo-denies-sun-bears-humans-costumes I have to admit they do look a little like costumes to me.- JAperson

SeaWorld Orlando: General Discussion
That is true for some reason I had it in my head @MakoMania was talking about income, so ignore that. But I stand by my comments that it's a very risky stragety and the opinions on SeaWorld aren't going to be changed by sticking coasters in one go without consideration for how they intend to...- JAperson

SeaWorld Orlando: General Discussion
Yes but operating costs are also through the roof. They need to slow it down. I just don't see how you can sustain such a high level of investment without actually having any capital. It's a high risk stragety, if these investments don't pay off they're going to be stuck with a lot of debt. I...- JAperson

Your most memorable school trip experiences?
The BCLM is fantastic, I've been a few times recently. Worth taking the kids to be fair. It's also easy to reach via train, if you staying in central Birmingham you can get a train to Tipton (it's on the line to Wolverhampton), it's about a 10 minute walk from there. They've invested in a new...- JAperson

SeaWorld Orlando: General Discussion
I understand they are trying to change the perception of the park, and I think that's the right thing to do. But the pure amount of investment, especially at a time like this where everything is costing more, I just don't see how they can continue to fund it without actually making any money. I...- JAperson

SeaWorld Orlando: General Discussion
I really don't understand SeaWorlds strategy here, surely they can't be making any money? I continue to worry about there financial strategy and how they can possible survive.- JAperson

2023: General Discussion
I'm not sure, I think it can and probably will be effective, but polished content works too, but perhaps not in the traditional marketing style but rather, behind the scenes stuff and things like that. It makes people interested and engaged to the socials.- JAperson

Drayton Manor Park
They're not going to replace one Intamin drop tower with another one immediately, sure apocalypse was old but replacing it, not even that far away from where it was just seems incredibly pointless. They may well add a flat too or the year after but I doubt it will be a drop tower.- JAperson

Drayton Manor Park
Absolutely, there's been no work on the lake yet so it's impossible to tell. I'm not saying it won't happen just that I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't. I agree that it would make it look better, also I believe it would be the only coaster to do that in the UK? I too agree that it could make...- JAperson

Drayton Manor Park
You bring a valid point, but what I was saying is that it's probably an unnecessary cost for not all that much gain, they may well do it, but I wouldn't be surprised if we see a layout that doesn't include it. I imagine they'll have looked at things like this and seen if it's likely to make the...- JAperson

Drayton Manor Park
This is basically what Drayton needed, of course it will be interesting to see what sort of layout Drayton has gone with, would be nice if they used the lake for a splash down style element shown in the video but if I'm honest I doubt that will be the case for cost reasons. Nice to see them go...- JAperson

Drayton Manor Park
A already used layout wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing, as long as it's new to the UK it might make the coaster cheaper for Drayton meaning they're been able to afford something better. Most people who visit are going to have zero idea anyway.- JAperson

The Towers: A New Project?
I can't see them using the towers as a hotel if I'm honest, think it's more likely going to be used for multiple purposes. Could have banquets, conferences, heritage tours, weddings maybe even a little museum, there's plenty of space.- JAperson

The Towers: A New Project?
I've always felt like I've been in the minority in my belief that if the mazes prevent the towers from opening then they shouldn't be in there. The towers should be open and used, they're a great asset that is massively underused and mistreated. I've given my thoughts loads of times on what they...- JAperson
