    The Brexit Thread

I'm aware we are implementing the system (although I forgot) and it's going to be annoying to need some kind of visa to travel anywhere. I am actually in favour of a system like this but not when you've got really close agreements with countries and you know you can trust there law enforcement...

Original Plan for SW8 - Forbidden Valley Wooden Coaster

I'm not sure the Smiler incident is the only reason it wasn't built but I'm not sure it would've just been cancelled in that area. If the plans had got this far they must've expected they'd have a good chance at planning permission or they wouldn't have put the money and effort into getting GCI...

    The Brexit Thread

Yes definatley, it will ease border congestion on both sides and mean that staff shortages have less of an impact. Also I hate the idea (with the US too) that these e-visa's that aren't e-visa's are accepted when countries have agreeded visa free travel. For a US citizen they just have to turn...

Original Plan for SW8 - Forbidden Valley Wooden Coaster

Overall I'm very glad we got Wicker Man because I think it's almost exactly what the park needed. Plus although the layout of this looks great, Wicker Mans turned out to be a lot more fun than most people predicted it would be. I do however think we could see something else in this space at...

Drayton hasn't worked with Intamin for a long time and the last time they did Drayton was a different company altogether.

Matt N’s Frolic in Florida 10th-24th June 2023

Looks like you had a great day @Matt N , I do like all the Hawaiian shirts in these pictures, have you got yourself one? I dread to think how much the bill for this trip is, looks proper good fun mind, probably worth it.

Coughing in public in 2023... Acceptable or not?

Not even after you've had a couple of pints Rob? This is a stupid question, people don't choose to cough, it's not a choice, if your going to cough make an effort to cover your mouth and that's it. The one that used to wind me up was teachers telling us to not cough during lessons like as if...

Matt N’s Frolic in Florida 10th-24th June 2023

Looking forward to a very detailed trip report Matt, I'm particularly interested in your thoughts on pipeline which I think is a fascinating ride. Enjoy your trip @Matt N and I hope everything goes plain sailing.

    Blackpool Pleasure Beach: 2023 Discussion

It's a good ride, I would say it's got some good parts, some pointless parts and some boring parts. The ending zig zags are pointless, I'm just glad it's smooth or they'd be awful. The restraints are comfortable (definitely the best on park). I think overall it isn't a bad ride, just not...

    Blackpool Pleasure Beach: 2023 Discussion

Operations on the big one today really weren't that good, queued probably 30-40 mins, with it on one train, really don't know why it wasn't on two unless there was a problem with one of the trains, leading to the closure on Saturday or something. That queue was so hot with no shade today.

    Blackpool Pleasure Beach: 2023 Discussion

So on Saturday I went to pleasure beach for the first time, I can safely say I've never been to a theme park with a more unique (and often painful) set of rides. I will never ride Steeplchase again, I still have bruises, that contrabtion needs binning no matter how nostalgic it might be. Grand...

    PortAventura: General Discussion

Twisted colossus says hello! Although apparently magic mountain don't operate it properly a lot of the time. Anyway I think it's more likely that if they were to RMC it they'd make it single track, which seems to be what happens when RMC convert dueling woodies. That's what happened with Gwazi

    365 Day Opening

So no families went to the Christmas event? Also can families also not come under the category of Hotrl Guests. It all depends what the park offer to entice people in.

Walt Disney World: Non-Theme Park Discussion

Are Disney particularly interested in value for customers though? I think they know a certain number will pay the price whether it's good value of not and that makes it worth it for them. Perhaps I'm being cynical but I just don't really think they're bothered if it makes sense as a deal but...

    The Brexit Thread

They shouldn't need ETIAS to know how long you've stayed without looking at stamps. The technology exits already in our passports to know how long we've stayed. They know how many UK tourists visit the EU, so realistically they should have already updated there computer system to be able to do...

    Drayton Manor Park

I mean short in terms of height not length. I do agree with most of what you've said. I think we could see something with a decent length, especially if it's launched.
