It would not be difficult to fit a compressor to each station as part of the airgate upgrade. That would not be what is stopping them. Besides many systems including some types of airgates can operate on different methods other than pneumatics.

It is not the operating system that is the main source of the issues with capacity. The issue is lack of air gates in the stations. The loading pens could previously be filled up before a train entered, meaning guests were ready to load as soon as the train entered the station. Now they do not...

There is no room for a woodie in that area in the current setup. The area is quite small and blocked in on all sides. Even if they removed the coaster in the area, I doubt that will provide the space due the extremely small and thin footprint it has. There only hope would be going over the lake...

Interesting thoughts, I have to say I pretty much agree with all of them. While the park has improved on paper, it has fell short in other areas, big time.
