Your 2024 in Review
Interesting year for me, aim was to get back into things after years out of the game and I definitely did that. Didn't quite break the 150 mark but did get a new number 1 (and 4,5 and 6) Had a few potential trips that didn't come to anything due to the usually plentiful overtime I was planning...- Martin

Chessington World of Adventures Resort
Made the long journey down today to get on Dragon's Fury after it let me down just as I was about to ride for the first time a month ago It broke down and stayed down just before I got on, again My white whale- Martin

Emerald Park (Formerly Tayto Park), Dublin: General Discussion
Just on the way home from Emerald now, only had a few hours but it was a really quiet day with everything more or less walk on, had a great time. Most of the park looks nice and the new area will be great when finished (and there's work going on behind it, no idea what that's going to be) The...- Martin

Project Exodus at Thorpe Park; Current Layout (Mack) or Alternative Layout (Likely B&M)?
This reminds me of when Energylandia did a poll for Hyperion, offering Vekoma and Intamin proposals. Broad consensus amongst enthusiasts seemed to be the Vekoma was better (and more likely given the park loves Vekoma) but they ended up going with Intamin. And the final design ended up being...- Martin

Project Exodus at Thorpe Park; Current Layout (Mack) or Alternative Layout (Likely B&M)?
This is actually my first time seeing what we could have had, and for all of Hyperia's flaws the alternative doesn't seem any more compelling really. B&M hypers are always solid and this one would have been too, but the only thing it had going for it over what we got is it would have been a bit...- Martin

Future of the Congo River Rapids
Yeah I think it's just a slightly niche retro collection with no deeper meaning. I like the little stripes on the sleeves they all have- Martin

Hotels General Discussion
I'm sure others with have seen/ posted this elsewhere, but it seems a room in ATH for fireworks would currently set you back more than a park view room at the Grand Helios on opening day... Source From: https://x.com/coasterclairee/status/1848682258279854503?s=19- Martin

Opening years bingo
For a bit of fun, I was looking through my count and realised that I've been on at least one coaster that's opened in every year since 1977 to 2024 (inclusive) except for 1981, 1986, 2020 and 2022. I should get the latter two sorted soon, but then there's a big gap down to my next oldest 1960...- Martin

[202x] Therme Manchester | [202X] Modern Surf?
Shame. Seems to be an issue with Peel as many of their projects on the Wirral are in a similar trajectory. They could afford to do it themselves but got to keep the profit line going up- Martin

London Entertainment Resort: All Discussion
Considering the poor good quality, architecture, layout and general state of what passes for most newbuild housing these days with what's currently allowed, I struggle to believe there really is too much red tape and regulations. Probably a good time to mention I also noticed a few holes in the fences, at least one that had been patched up with a plate of metal (in Hyperia brown of course)- Martin
