[The Smiler] Construction Updates / Ride Speculation Part 2 *SPOILER FREE*
Re: [The Smiler] Construction Updates and Ride Speculation Part 2 I was wondering how likely it could be something to do with the seats?- gosling

Thorpe Park - Temporary shipping container hotel to be built - The Crashpad
Oh the entertainment was definitely nothing special. It was a bit 'holiday camp', no denying. I think they'll have to come up with something a bit more enthralling eventually if they want to be taken seriously. It seemed like perhaps they haven't really got any ideas to fill the gaps between...- gosling

Simcity (2013)
I am basically having to take some time off from playing the new SimCity because I seem to have lost several days of my life to it somewhere along the line. I really enjoy it but APPARENTLY there's this thing called "outside" and I'm supposed to go there at some point...- gosling

Thorpe Park - Temporary shipping container hotel to be built - The Crashpad
Yeah we had rockstar bingo too! And a Thorpe Park trivia quiz. I also almost took the bf's eye out playing a really competitive game on the ping pong table.- gosling

Thorpe Park - Temporary shipping container hotel to be built - The Crashpad
I booked through the website about a month ago(ish) and there was only two of us staying. I've no idea what the "usual" pricing is/is supposedly but we definitely thought the price we got was excellent. I wouldn't pay more than £40 I don't think. I also wouldn't share a room with three other...- gosling

Thorpe Park - Temporary shipping container hotel to be built - The Crashpad
But I only paid £26 for me AND my boyfriend overnight with breakfast. Which is actually a hell of a lot cheaper than if we'd of had to stay somewhere else. In fact, we wouldn't have even visited the park if these little rooms weren't available. The park is not reasonably accessible to a lot of...- gosling

Thorpe Park - Temporary shipping container hotel to be built - The Crashpad
I have now stayed at the CrashPad and I thought it was suitable for its job. The staff were really friendly and helpful. It is a bit noisy in the morning when people are waking up, showering etc (the drainage system sounds like a train coming through lol!). I was grateful for that in the end...- gosling

Thorpe Park: General Discussion
Re: Thorpe Park Yes, I went on X yesterday. It was... weird. And it stopped working for a bit during the day. Glad we decided to go for two days tbh because yesterday they had an absolute 'mare and almost every single ride had ceased operation at the same time :/ Swarm wasn't open all day (or...- gosling

Books
Oh it is very interesting! I have actually already finished the book. It is a little delve into the 'madness industry'. Ronson ends up learning about the Hare Psychopath Checklist used to determine who is/is not a psychopath and what makes them different to people who just have mental illness...- gosling

Thorpe Park - Temporary shipping container hotel to be built - The Crashpad
I'm staying there next week (Weds/Thurs) so I'll come back and write up what I think having experienced it. But to be honest, I'm not especially fussy about this stuff as long as I have a safe bed for the night. I'm more going to check out the park since I've never been (it's far, we don't...- gosling

Scarefest 2013: Discussion
I liked the preview weekend idea, but being truthful I was a bit disappointed that they lessened the number of overall days that Scarefest ran for last year (including days with Scare Room availability) :/ The pro was obviously that it gave them time to iron out the kinks from the preview...- gosling

What are you listening to?
Uhhm I'm listening to random 8tracks mixes and the current song is called Nothing Here by Holy Other. It's sort of triphop, ambient, post-apocalypse type of weirdness. I've not heard it before but I quite like it. The entire track list theme is Post Nuclear Drop/Fallout. T'is very ace.- gosling

Merlin's General Poor Attitude - your experiences.
I did go to the medical center :) when one of the staff asked my mate how to make a sling to hold my arm upright. That was after we had walked over to a kiosk on the park to explain that there was something seriously wrong with my hand. The lady behind the desk pointed towards the park entrance...- gosling

Merlin's General Poor Attitude - your experiences.
I've only had two experiences with Merlin (well, specifically Alton Towers itself) that have urged me to complain. I'm generally not a complainer so I don't know if I got "acceptable" responses but I was satisfied with both, ultimately. #1 was when I fell on the park and shattered the right...- gosling

The Sanctuary, SW7 and Donald Ewen Cameron
I also found this so very interesting and am impressed with this post. Thanks for taking the time to share this, Sam. I've always found this type of thing quite fascinating, and dreadful at the same time. I'm also very concerned that ECT is, unfortunately, a treatment still used to treat manic...- gosling

x factor
Quite. I've got to be honest and say, I find myself liking people LESS who have a sob story on these shows. I used to mute the TV when contestants would start doing their big emotional bit to camera, and then unmute it when they started singing. I feel like those people are genuinely decent...- gosling

x factor
I'm with Blaze on this one. I used to actually watch X Factor and enjoy it (we all make mistakes, shut it). And then I realized that I was wasting an awful lot of time. Especially considering I hugely dislike popular music anyway. I don't have anything at all against the people who do enjoy it...- gosling
