TST Film Review Thread
Although I think there was some statements in the Lego Movie too, mainly that glue is a bad thing I think but overall there was some major messaging around kids, play, distracted parents and glue.- jon81uk

There is already the toboggans as well. Could make a nice small adventure themed thing if they go back to that sort of thing, add some Go Ape type high ropes too.- jon81uk

Drayton Manor Park
Being discussed in the Looping thread https://towersstreet.com/talk/threads/looping-group-general-discussion.6219/post-520419 But I do see this might mean they start considering a Merlin style annual pass now with four attractions in the UK. Definitly scope at least for a midlands combo ticket...- jon81uk

[202X] Project Horizon (SW9?): Planning Approved
Even if Gangsta Granny remains as an individual attraction, I think it would be OK with a few different attractions in the area as long as they all feel well-finished. Could have space coaster, boat ride, 4D show, carousel and Gangsta Granny ride all in the area with no overall "land".- jon81uk

[202X] Project Horizon (SW9?): Planning Approved
A large part of the fun of riding Space Mountain is barely being able to see whats coming up! Disney seem to have the balance right, just enough lighting to support the ride but dark enough to be really fun- jon81uk

[202X] Project Horizon (SW9?): Planning Approved
Although the story on Space Mountain is pretty much "you are in space". Although I generally agree they need planned-out lighting or similar at least. The Black Hole was pretty good but was more of a coaster with disco lights compared to a coaster in space.- jon81uk

Merlin Entertainments: General Discussion
I was curious if it was the online price or the old "on the day" price they used to use for the 2for1s. It is the online price that is discounted, but not always by 50%. "This offer gives 10-50% off on up to 4 Online Advance priced entry tickets, from 1st July 2025 until 30th June 2026 at...- jon81uk

Spa redevelopment
I think they did get a reasonable number of people booking a spa break (like you would at a lot of hotels) in the winter when the park was closed. Likely not enough people more recently (especially as energy costs have gone up a lot). But that was one of the ideas of having the spa, to try and...- jon81uk

Spa redevelopment
Although in terms of spa facilities the Alton Towers thermal spa was one one of the cheaper places I think. When it closed it was £40/45 for the three hour session (£30/35 back in 2020) which was quite competitively priced I think and there was often good package prices (like the Rasul mud...- jon81uk

Universal Epic Universe - New Florida Theme Park
We did it in 2022 and it was adequate. Smoked meats at Seaworld were fine and the Chinese food at Busch was like a ready meal quality but not inedible. Nice thing about the inclusive meal plan was just being able to grab drinks and snacks a few times, stopping for a soda and a cake or similar...- jon81uk

Spa redevelopment
A longer section of the quote from the spokesperson “This was a difficult decision but one we feel is essential for the future growth and development of the Resort” They didn’t close it to redevelop the spa, it’s purely because the running costs were too high and they wanted to reallocate that...- jon81uk
