I have heard reports both saying the trains are new and the trains are refurbished. I would assume they are new, because the chassis, which has the seat hangs as part of it like a giant block of metal and the top part of the trains would have been 30 years old, it would have needed major work...

If it was cooler day I would be too. I am the one, by law, who is legally responsible for the safety and wellbeing of my child, not the park. So if they took there time, in the cooler weather, I would do what I need to do, to keep my child safe.
