2025: General Discussion
I like Gloomy Wood having one ride in it. It helps to sell the illusion of a haunted house in the woods. This would be completely lost if there was another ride, let alone a major one in the same area.- DistortAMG

Galactica's Future
To be fair, the one photo, the second one, appears to show what looks like a Siemens Simatic control panel of some description, which is very much a PLC.- DistortAMG

2025: General Discussion
The thing is, they can't announce a new headliner if they have nothing in the works. Even that would have limited results because A, it would just be an announcement and B, it would do little to nothing in changing peoples overarching opinions that you mention.- DistortAMG

On a quiet day, you can comfortably do the major things at Drayton Manor in a half a day, including the very limited zoo.- DistortAMG

Thorpe Park: General Discussion
If it was a hole it wouldn't be a water drain one as it appears to be on the weld? They wouldnt purposely weaken a weld by putting a hole on a weld I wouldnt have thought.- DistortAMG

Six Flags Quiddiya
As it is something you do not support, I assume you do not drive a car, buy fuel, use plastics, detergents like soap or use anything made of synthetic rubber, such as a garden hosepipe then? As they, among many things, directly contribute huge sums of money to these regimes. That argument made...- DistortAMG

Oakwood Discussion
I would have thought so yeah. I think legislation changed after 1999 mandating rides needed to have clean water if guests were getting soaked by it, in order to combat getting sick from waterbourne diseases. Drayton got in there just before with Storm Force 10, thus were and are allowed to...- DistortAMG

Oakwood Discussion
Hydro opened at the back end of the water ride craze in the UK. Parks were going after the wettest water ride title, so in that aspect it was not unique in the slightest. We had Storm Force 10 in 1999, Tidal Wave and Valhalla in 2000 and then finally Hydro in 2002. All going after the title of...- DistortAMG

Blackpool Pleasure Beach: 2025 Discussion
I do not doubt you, but can you point them out, as they are not obvious? It could be the case that by the time the attraction was refurbished, there were only 4 in operation, due to many breaking over the years and never getting repaired. Very plausible given the extreme wetness and dampness in...- DistortAMG

UK Politics General Discussion
It comes to something when you need ID to have a ****. But you do not need ID to enter the UK. The country is very broken. Was great seeing Starmer as Trumps petting dog the other day however. You could see the panic on Starmers face.- DistortAMG

But people would be more inclined to pay say a tenner to ride the new attraction if they see it new when walking around the park or outside for that matter. Rather than paying for the whole park entry just to ride that ride. Even more so if they have been to the likes of Sandcastle, which can...- DistortAMG

Blackpool Pleasure Beach: 2025 Discussion
I am not sure. Maybe a few but not many. Pay one price made it a destination place. Meaning if you are outside the park and close enough to see it, you would be visiting anyway. If it was pay per ride I would have thought it would pick up much more passing trade, but I cannot see people who...- DistortAMG

It very well could be actually, because even though it was in the dark, you could feel yourself going up onto a platform exactly like you do with this top one now. So yes it seems very plausable.- DistortAMG

Blackpool Pleasure Beach: 2025 Discussion
There was a few fire torches at the start of the ride, the majority of the fire is still in place though. What I never understood though, is the reason that was given for the removal of the reverse turntable was due to it giving 90% of the rides downtime. Ok fair point. But with the money they...- DistortAMG

Blackpool Pleasure Beach: 2025 Discussion
I think with the refurbishment we got a slightly more cohesive theme throughout, if only slightly. For me, that is a good improvement, even without a trommel. I still think the early 2000's version of the ride with tesla coil and the song of the elders soundtrack was peak Valhalla though.- DistortAMG
