    2026: General Discussion

You can post images relevant to the discussion but have to host them elsewhere and link to them. Would be really have ridden Battle Galleons in March? I’d expect it to re-open as the weather improves.

    2026: General Discussion

I'm sure this has happened every March for the last few years, they remove a few rides from the app that are unable to open for the buyout days. Someone posts that those rides are never to open again. They reappear on the app and open as normal.

    The Swarm: Brave it Backwards

Jumanji Mandril mayhem is a boomerang coaster, if you go forwards to start with, you come back backwards. So you are either front row outwards and then going backwards on the return or front row for the return but backwards going out the station.

    Eurovision 2026

I've listened to Denmark's entry and its pretty good, a nice balance of soaring balled to slightly more electronic background. Also of course we now have our entry, Eins Zwei Drei. Its good fun, maybe a little too repetitive, could have done with more of the beats in the foreground and a bit...

[2026] Bluey Coaster in CBeebies Land

A kiddie coaster themed to an IP will have different theming compared to a hyper coaster

I'm an adult and disappointed I can't have a go!

    Chessington World of Adventures Resort

Is the slide actually for guests or is it just theming?

    Corkscrew

Other than Blackpool I don't think there was so many big parks, so its probably that no others could really afford it. I imagine boomerangs were cheaper too. Also why get the same thing as somewhere else, why not look for a point of difference? Look at 1994, three big new rides all opened but...

    Blackpool Pleasure Beach: 2026 Discussion

They don't have the heritage hardware that Blackpool does that is likely to be a little more expensive to run, Paultons oldest currently operating coasters are 23-26 years old and they are just Zierer Tivoli. The oldest significant coaster is Raven at 20 years old. Also the coasters are...

    Blackpool Pleasure Beach: 2026 Discussion

A long queue is no evidence of popularity. If it is only operating with two boats then the capacity is low and the queue will be long.

    Blackpool Pleasure Beach: 2026 Discussion

Its been fairly standard across several UK parks that water rides don't open until the warmer weather for the last few years, most rapids aren't open in March either.

    Blackpool Pleasure Beach: 2026 Discussion

Half price for both is the same as the previous buy one get one free? Although having taken a look at Paulton they do offer a half-price ticket "for people where support is needed that is significant and substantial and in excess of what could be reasonably expected of family/friends already...

    Paultons Park: General Discussion

Some of the Six Flags parks are close to this, not to the extent of Thorpe but it certainly felt like Magic Mountain was very thrill coaster heavy and most family rides were seperated off into the Loony Tunes area. But I don't think any family is going to be debating between Thorpe and Paulton...

    Paultons Park: General Discussion

I don't think there will be a situation where Paultons is a true alternative to Thorpe Park, they will always aim for different things as Thorpe predominately has high-thrill. But Paultons will be another major option for families compared to Alton Towers and Chessington.

    Paultons Park: General Discussion

I think you can aim for families with children under 15 years old and still be a family park. I don't think they need or intend to go after teenagers visiting without parents or young adults. But its to ensure that a family of say ages 8, 6 and 3 can keep visiting and keep all family members...

The park entrance may have been built in that location and we may never have got the monorail then.

    TST Film Review Thread

Ah the Movies for Juniors on mornings is different to a blank ban on adults watching kids films. The Movies for Juniors is a lower price showing older films. If you want to go and watch new releases you should be fine without kids.

    The Public Transport Thread

But the new roundabouts on the B5030 and B5031 were acknowledged by local councillors that “This is a busy route used by traffic accessing JCB’s headquarters and Alton Towers, both major businesses employing hundreds of people, with Alton Towers attracting thousands of people to Staffordshire...
