    Chessington World of Adventures Resort

I suppose an indoor coaster like this, with a park as restricted on space and what they can build as Chessington meant it was always going to be somewhat short in terms of track length. Although with the other elements it could well mean the experience isn't ridiculously short, but I suppose we...

    Chessington World of Adventures Resort

I'm not entirely convinced this is really true though, other Merlin attractions get high capacity, even Wicker Man got three trains. Especially with something like this, the more people they can push through the more who are going to spend an absolute fortune in the gift shop. They know they...

    Chessington World of Adventures Resort

Well yeah that would suggest an Intamin Multi-dimension, I was unaware of the detail the plans went into. That capacity is going to be difficult, they are going to have to make sure the station and batching are at least well designed to have even the slightest hope of coping. I don't understand...

    Chessington World of Adventures Resort

I hope that the coaster has huge capacity, it really needs to be an absolute people eater, well designed station and batching will be necessary. Maybe duel loading stations might be in order? In other news do we know what manafactuer is going to be used? I suspect ART Engineering may well be the...

    Chessington World of Adventures Resort

Sorry for the double post, but I have to agree with this. Towers needs to keep its own identity, with it thriving off its own themes and brands, Chessington being the better linked park makes sense to use for this kind of thing. It's sensible business.

    Chessington World of Adventures Resort

I agree if it looks rubbish they really will be harshly judged. They have to get this right if they want Chessington to be that accompanying park.

    Chessington World of Adventures Resort

It puts into perspective how big this is for Chessington, this must have been a hard sought after IP, and with a global fan base, and Chessington being in London, this really could have a global reach, certainly the right IP to get people wanting to combine it with a Universal trip when that opens.

    Wicker Man - General Discussion

I agree with all of this. That merge point has always been a battle, and personally I always extend by elbows! If I have queued for an hour and some fasttrack people are determined to get in front of me, that is not happening! 😂 😂 Being serious I do think its the main drawback of what I think...

    2026: General Discussion

I don't think Merlin is going to sell, and frankly I think we need to be careful what we wish for. Towers as an independent park, would have even higher operating costs, and it's already for sure Merlins most expensive attraction to keep, and so would likely struggle financially eventually...

    Ride Availability/Operations 2022-26

As much as this would make lots of sense in lots of ways, I'm not sure it would solve their issue. They don't have the staff to get what they've got ready, so I'm not sure they'd be able to have enough staff to get the other trains signed off. Also they don't have any operating budget as is, I'm...

    Wicker Man - General Discussion

They'd be very long sticks! I don't think they'll scrap it, like nemesis it's brand is well known and worth it for the merch sales alone I would imagine. I reckon it could get a refurbishment though probably not on the same level to that of Nemesis Reborn.

    The Alton Towers Gardens

Your Adam and not Barry? Feels wrong 😂 I do enjoy videos focusing on the gardens as I've only really explored a few parts myself, and with my limited visits I don't get much time to do so myself.

    Devon's Crealy General Discussion

If Creally want an IP success story they are going to have to be very creative, and probably spend a fortune, I do think having a kids or family IP could be great for them, but they have trouble in not being backed by a large multinational in this regard, Paulton's got very lucky getting the...

    Wicker Man - General Discussion

This is obviously not true, but it's brilliant creativity and I have to commend it 😂. Being serious I do wish the viewing plaza had become a thing, as much as I love the view you get, I think Wardley was always right in that rides can be enjoyed by both riders and non riders, and although Wicker...

    Swiss Cottage Restaurant

Is it likely to just be general required refurbishment work for a listed building or is it perhaps going to be used as office space or something?

    Legoland Windsor

Part of me hopes desperately that Fiona Eastwood is obsessed with transport to their attractions and parks as much as Nick Varney loved worlds firsts for major projects! Being serious this is very clever branding and marketing, Merlin have always been pretty good at marketing but this in...

    Monorail Refurbishment

Yeah probably, but I'm really not sure they are going to want an even bigger, frankly huge structure that would cost a fortune just to cover over some trains that are designed to be outside? Maybe I'm wrong but even in a potential major Monorail overhaul, I just can't see it being a priority.

    Monorail Refurbishment

I believe there already is a massive depot no?

    2026: General Discussion

Sorry for the double post! I think this is the point though, Merlin is profitable on paper, but taking a portion of profit margin to improve Towers working conditions might not necessarily go down well with lenders. Merlin has a huge amount of debt, and ideally they would find a quick way to pay...
