    Quick Questions

I can't find reference to £23.99, do you have a link to that page? At £24.99 a month it is roughly the same as £299 a year though, but the annual pass will be cheaper for renewal next year at £229, whereas membership continues at £24.99.

    Merlin Entertainments: General Discussion

Although do note it is Monday to Friday only and there are several other places offering similar discounts at these places on weekdays too. Like Octopus Energy gives 25% Mon-Wed almost all the time, Student Beans currently gives 33% Mon-Fri as well.

Yep, I would rather have sugar-free Sprite compared to juice which is full of (natural) sugar.

Strange questions that sometimes need answering (or not asking in the first place really).

Although I don't think the app reduces the amount of labour needed that much. Order at the bar and someone needs to input your drink into the till, pull the pint and hand it to you. Order on the app and they read the order from the screen, pull the pint and walk it to your table (might even be a...

Food & Beverage: The Aramark Era begins

I know this isn't really related to Alton Towers, but just to show other sectors Aramark is the concessionaire for, Aramark Sports + Entertainment has shown off new food items at their MLB stadiums in the USA. This is the Aramark press release...

    Flamingo Land: General Discussion

So are you saying Flamingo Land is better quality than Alton Towers just because it charges a high price? Realistically Flamingo Land cannot afford to charge less and Alton Towers really should be charging a similar price as it is better quality than Flamingo Land. I'm not expecting Universal...

    Flamingo Land: General Discussion

I think a large part of the issue is Alton Towers and the other Merlin parks are too cheap, Alton probably should be a lot more than £35.

    The Fast Food Poll

I would say the price is almost worth it for the quality, but feels like it should be cheaper as its served in foil and paper. The exact same burger on a plate would feel worth the price. The Five Guys burgers are significantly better than what a lot of pubs serve for the same price.

Even worse is the eBay generative AI descriptions that take the small amount of information in the item specifics and just add unnecessary words around it!

I’d trust Trust Pilot reviews even less than TripAdvisor. TrustPilot is just full of moaning

    Thorpe Park: General Discussion

But it’s not the theme parks fault that some people in a group stayed in the cabins? The other option is that the whole group stays in the cabins.

    Thorpe Park: General Discussion

Its the groups choice to split up. The group can all stay together in the main queue if only some have Fasttrack. No one is forcing those who stayed in the hotel to use the fast track, they have the choice to stay with their group if they prefer.

    2026: General Discussion

At least the TV advert probably isn't specific to Easter, many people would be booking for the summer. Whereas the Instagram/Facebook advert specifically infers that you can make memories on those attractions at Easter.

    Disneyland Paris: General Discussion

I still don't see it working due to the language issues. You'd have to have separate boats for English narration and French narration but then you'd still end up with Spanish, Italian or German speakers where the jokes don't work so well. I've had some boats in Florida where there hasn't been so...

Food & Beverage: The Aramark Era begins

This is part of the issue though, it is OK value with 20% off. Effectively its not an annual pass discount any more, its a tax on those without one.

    Futuroscope General Discussion

I went on a school trip around thirty years ago, it was cool back then but mainly just different combinations of IMAX type screens and 3D glasses, plus a few weird outdoor "rides" like water tricycles. Does seem like the park has changed significantly since to get closer to a traditional theme...

    2026: General Discussion

As has been said many times, it was a very wet winter, it’s highly likely some things could not have been done during the winter weather. Also issues with the lift hill chain may not have been found until part way through closed season and then there is the wait for the new parts.
