Yes but with this being the UK's new tallest coaster it shouldn't exactly be a difficult thing to sell? If anything it seems pretty straight forward, you'd think there would be ads all over the place by now but I've seen nothing.
Has anybody seen much advertising around for this? Considering it's opening in a few months time you'd think they would've started to have gone really big advertising wise but all I've seen in Thorpe's own social accounts and newspaper articles.
I reckon they'll go for clean and shiny, looks better in Instagram pictures, I wouldn't expect many new theme's and area's to look old and ruined because it just doesn't look at good unless cartooned, doing it accurately just looks like it isn't looked after when your having a quick glance.
No it doesn't, firstly it's spent a hundred years with a system that almost everyone expects of a pleasure beach style park. But secondarly and more importantly is this silly ticket system, if it's one price to get in why do you need to scan your phone at every ride? Why do they need a picture...
Yes it is important, this isn't about this story in particular, they lost lots of money and unless they want to keep loosing money then they need to make some changes. Allowing entry passes and then having places to eat/drink/be entertained on park makes a lot of sense for pleasure in its...
Pleasure beach definatley should return to there pre covid ticketing system or something that is an improvement on it. Scanning your phone at every ride is just a pain and having a walk around pass is a great idea for them for reasons @Matt N has talked about around how the park is perceived. If...
I know some Starbucks at least do charge for different sorts of milk, like oat milk, one of my friends can't have dairy and they always charge them extra for the milk.
They never made any announcements about the coaster massively publiced, it was simply a planning application, we don't know what stopped them building it or anything.
I think it's more a case of them trying and failing. Clearly they just don't have the funding, and when they think they've secured some they drop out. Whether it's viable to expand Southport or not I don't know but I'm glad that at least one small park is trying to do something, at least got...
This seems like a decent option, I am aware that Wicked has booster seats so that smaller kids can ride I wonder if this might be an option as that would fit Draytons target audience well?
Welcome Evie, pleasure to see a new member who's been browsing for so long. I do wonder though, how come it took you so many months to make an account if you don't mind me asking?
I suspect with this on the cards and looking in comparison to most projects of its sort they'll already be having meetings to figure out investment strategies to compete, this is most relevant at Towers, but they are ahead of the game on one thing and that's that they already have an operating...
A @Thameslink Rail submission to the coaster challenge with a (sort of) break run? I'm shocked!
Anyway my apologies @Matt N but I don't think I've got the time to be part of the coaster building challenge this year (I know I signed up last year and then didn't submit anything) but I'm just far...
There British films, if they are filmed in the UK and the majority of the crew is British then they are British. A little like Harrods isn't owned by a British company but it's still British or anything similar where the parent company is foreign but the company operates nationally.
This is very interesting so I wanted to run through my thoughts on it.
Firstly I agree with @Leigh that it's well connected and a good location, close enough to London to get the London visitors but far enough out that land and costs are nowhere near as bad.
Do I think it's likely to end up as...
