Galactica: General Discussion
Definitely agree with this. I could barely get my arms around to reach the headset plus I had to hold it the whole time cause even at its tightest, which the ride host assured me it was, it was still sliding down my face before we'd even gone anywhere! So yeah, tricky if you're short and have a...- allyallyally47

Rollercoaster Restaurant: General Discussion
It comes in a separate pot to the steak, along with the fries! And the sauce pots have a little metal clasp thing so hopefully you own't be unlucky and it'll stay shut!- allyallyally47

Rollercoaster Restaurant: General Discussion
There's a box on your order screen where you can put requests. I put a note about my meal needing to be gluten free and a server came over to me to talk to me about the options so they did seem to be on the ball with that when I was there. I'm sure you can choose no sauce for the steak but the...- allyallyally47

Media Coverage of Alton Towers
The best bit of the BBC article has to be when it talks about this 20 minute breakdown happening "less than a year after The Smiler crash which left two women needing to have legs amputated." Yeah, cause this is clearly a comparable situation o_O- allyallyally47

Devon's Crealy General Discussion
Major bump to this topic, only cause I wasn't sure if this merited its own separate topic but apparently The Big Sheep has put up signs asking visitors not to scream on The Big One! Thou shall not emit sounds of enjoyment etc.- allyallyally47

2016: Air - Re-theme to VR Coaster - Galactica
Surely the loading process will come down to the number of people choosing to use the headsets, so while at first it might be an absolute nightmare with everyone riding probably wanting to try it, over time people might just want to go back to the normal experience of Air so won't need the...- allyallyally47

Incident on The Smiler 02/06/2015
No one has specifically told me anything - I was just putting it out there that your friend might not have "heard" the worst idea that's been suggested and that there's every possibility they could open it for a day just to see how things go. Again, I don't know if there's been any...- allyallyally47

Incident on The Smiler 02/06/2015
This is far from the most ridiculous suggestion we've heard... Or, assuming the Big 6 Challenge day is still happening they could be gearing up for it to open then just for that day? This has probably already been mentioned - 200+ pages are hard to keep track of!- allyallyally47

"Danger of Death"
Jeezo. Hoping this isn't an indication of the "enhancements and new themed features" happening with Air for next year... Edit: Just noticed that someone made a similar comment in the Air enhancement topic - allyallyally47

Incident on The Smiler 02/06/2015
Didn't even make it to 5 minutes on that video before I had to stop watching it. You'd think she had a personal vendetta against him or something?!- allyallyally47

Rollercoaster Restaurant: General Discussion
Whether there's any truth in this or not, that FoodLoop thing looks pretty awesome! It doesn't, however, look very...Towers-y. Also think of the potential mayhem: "Oh sorry, your meal will be another 45 minutes as we have to deal with those who have purchased Fastback meals first" or something...- allyallyally47

Chessington World of Adventures Resort
Seems Chessington have been fined £150k after pleading guilty on Friday http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-30780504 Can't really decide if this feels like absolutely sod all, or more than I was expecting?- allyallyally47

Drayton Manor Park
Agreed. I wouldn't even give them the honour of using the Z word. Some monkeys, a cat and a meerkat den does not a zoo make!- allyallyally47

Ripsaw to move to X Sector?
Is Ripsaw known for making a concerning grinding noise/squeal? Cause it was happening a lot last week, to the point where I could hear it loud and clear in the Air queue!- allyallyally47

CBeebies Land
Had my first visit to Towers last week since March so finally got to wander round CBeebies Land. Have to say I was impressed with most of it. Really interactive for kids (and my 26 year old other half who was thoroughly engaged by everything!). I think visiting with a child would make for a...- allyallyally47

Drayton Manor Park
Have to agree with this! Visited DMP for the first time last week and was pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable Troublesome Trucks was for a Thomas Land ride! In fact I may have ridden it more times than any other ride on the park...- allyallyally47

The great 'soda' debate
I'm the same. I used to get through about 4 cans of Irn Bru a day but knew it wasn't doing me any good so decided to stop as part of a New Year resolution. That was at the start of 2012 and now I can't even touch fizzy stuff, it's just too sweet! That sugar photo is madness! Good old H2O...- allyallyally47
