I think you could be onto something....In theory there’s enough of a separation between this and Mutiny Bay that a berm with trees (which already partially exists) could turn it into its own sub-area.
I definitely think there's going to be lots of theming and effects.I just want to add something on really quickly, There is something in that shed, The tunnels just before you go in and after you come out are enclosed meaning that they will want it to be dark. Now a) Why would they enclose the maintenance shed b)Why do they want it so dark. I think it could be like others have said will be the 3rd stage to the ritual!
Not sure what is going on with the Battle Galleons lake just above the rather subtle watermark.
Standard closed season maintenance.Higher resolution version:

Smokehouse is looking good!

Calling it now: Battle Galleons will never open again.
Now hang on, we don’t know that they’re cannibals. They seem to like trees and dirt so I’m going for a menu consisting entirely of items found in gloomy wood.Good riddance.
If the smokehouse is going to be themed in regards to the ride I expect the menu in said establishment to be dishes of chargrilled human body parts.

Did you visit The Welcoming?Smokehouse is looking good!
Basically what they serve now isn’t it? Anyway, back on topic, the prospect of a sub area is exciting as if you think about it, unlike the other areas in the park, this has the potential to be a little more realistic. They could be very immersive and say acknowledge that you are still in a theme park but this area is a legitimate site with a load of nutters living in it unknown to Mr Francis Jackson. It would make more sense than to try to incorporate it with the other areas in my opinion.Chewing gum, unwanted park maps and cig butts.
A hearty meal indeed.
