[2025] Project Ocean: New Forbidden Valley Flat Ride

Hang on, "Underpass to Galactica"? Does this mean that the way of dealing with the long running theme clash between the rest of Forbidden Valley and Air/Galactica is that the area will be split in two?

Without the Galactica and RCR plaza, FV would still be quite a sizeable area and it leaves the Air car park free to create a brand new area in the future, which includes Galactica in it.

Far fetched I know but what the hell.

Looking at the cylinders i am leaning towards a small screaming swing…… scrap this just seen the plans more clearly.

I agree with @Matt.GC that this could act as a portal between nemesis area and the galactica area. Could solve the theme clash.

Don't see how this suggests that!?

"The existing hardstanding belonging to Funk n Fly will be repurposed and form the entrance
and queue line for the attraction. Pockets of soft landscaping will be created to break up the
hard landscaping and to aid the softening of the proposed building mass".

Just a clarifying sentence I found from (I think) the heritage statement. Also, if it was a topspin, it appears that it would either be facing a theming object (towards Nemesis) with a theming object behind it in or near the queueline (or vice versa), or alternatively it would be facing the path either side of the new tunnel. Would be a bit weird waiting in the queue and just seeing the rear of the carriage above a concrete wall for most of the time!?

Taken from the planning website can see more plans here: source

Deffo is just a 'tunnel' with a ride popped on the top with themed structures to the left and right.
in the seccond image, the lower theming pece looks like it has a path entering it, i wonder if this means it will be a anamatronic theming or an element of the ride (as some people have sudgested an s&s swing)

I don't think it will be a topspin. Not only does it appear the base would be too small (11.5m x 14.5m) against a published size of 22m x 9m for a floorless topspin - but as @BarryZola says the plans show the base is wider than it is long, so even if they could squeeze one on somehow it would be orientated 90 degrees versus Ripsaw, with riders sat facing either Blade or Galactica, instead of towards Nemesis or the trees. Would seem an odd way to do things.

Think we can rule out an S&S screaming swing as there is no way one would be allowed anywhere at Towers due to the noise. Those things are LOUD.

From the plans...

"The proposal is for the removal of the existing Funk’n’Fly ride and to replace it with a more
fixed attraction. It measures 11.5m in length x 14.5m in width with a building height of 4.8m.
The attraction sits atop the building and has an approximate overall height of 18m.
Funk’n’Fly has an existing footprint of 390m2 and the proposed attraction denotes an
increase of 550m2."

Could it be something similar to Funk n Fly but permanent?
