A "Non-Geek's" Thoughts on Europa-Park

As some of you know, I am heading to London in September to study at a drama school, and I have been chatting to a few other people who will be in my class. The topic of theme parks came up (I wonder who brought that up??) and, someone else had visited Europa-Park! This is the first time I have heard of anyone from the UK going to EP without being a theme park geek, so I was interested to see what he thought of the place. His comments were:

"It probably helped I had just been to Disneyland Paris and the contrast of how much more I enjoyed every aspect of EP. Not a single ride disappointed me, lines never felt too long but that may have been the season I went. I was young at the time but I’ve always wanted to go back."

I discussed this with him further, and it would seem that some members of the GP genuinely do appreciate how Europa operates in general. I would have expected comments like "not enough big roller coasters", "too many boring kids rides", but this is really nice to see!

:)

I had a similar chat with someone in a pub once who caught me off guard when he said he knew the place. Unfortunately his view was that there were not enough big rides... but I think he’d visited pre-2002, so before even Silver Star was built.

I’m taking a group of non-enthusiasts in September. Hopefully they will be impressed!
