Planning a little trip up north to do Blackpool and Mingoland.

(Just to add context I find long drives and Themepark days pretty exhausting, not one of those people who can get up at 4 am, drive 4 hrs, do a park then drive 4 hrs home!) Also trying to keep costs down!

Plan is to drive up to Blackpool on Monday, stay in Blackpool Monday night. (from Wiltshire)
Blackpool Tuesday.
After Blackpool drive to somewhere around Leeds/Bradford to stay Tuesday night.
Wednesday Mingoland.
(So drive to Mingoland from Leeds/Bradford, day at Mingoland, drive back to place in Leeds/Bradford to stay Wednesday night).
Thursday, head back down south with either Towers or Drayton Manor on the way.

I’ve just picked Leeds/Bradford as seems to be roughly halfway between Blackpool and Flamingo land. Does this make sense to people who know the geography/roads better than me.

Does this trip make logistical sense?

Any recommendations on where to stay around the Leeds/Bradford ish area.

This will be last week of June if that makes any difference. I know it will be school trip busy.

Mingo is hell in school trip season, you'll need to brace yourselves. I speak from experience.

Thinking about it, I could actually do this trip in September as have annual leave then.
Might be better and Draytons new coaster might be open!

Question still stands though, does the geography/driving route make sense?

Sure, it makes sense. It’s central and gives you about a 90 minute drive to each park. And like you say if you wait you can add in a trip to Drayton Manor on the way back down south.

Yup...very nice plan.
Suggest looking at Lytham, St Annes, or the two Beach hotels.
Funny overnighter...round Hebden Bridge or Halifax.
York makes the mingo day easier.
Hebden especially, not far from M62...but the two parks are are a long way apart.
