Hi all!
Been working on a recration of AT on RCT3 in the past two days. Its a recreation of the whole park, however areas such as towers street, mutiny bay etc. have been scaled down. The whole park is scaled down quite a bit, yet the layout of the park is maintained, with all the coasters (with the exception of the flume) at their full length. Doing a full size replica would be difficult, it the sense that for the most part, if you increase to maximum park size, you have nearly enough space, but not quite. So doing a scaled down version means that its not pretending to be full size, yet still has the layout, rides & looks of the real thing. I used only a few CS sets as I intend to put this up for download. (Don't you hate it when you have to search & download about 25 CS sets just to open a park?
Anyway, I've done about half the park so far, with some reas not quite finished. Here are some screenshots:
Towers Street: (scaled down)
^notice the "scaled down" street.
Adventure Land: (Full Size) (Unfinished)
Mutiny Bay: (scaled down)
Katanga Canyon (Full Size)
^Entering KC, katanga kabin to the left.
^Crossing the bridge.
^This shot should feel familiar!
^Second helix after crossing the wooden bridge structure.
^ Rapids Lake
^Rapids lift hill
^ Rapids turn out of the station
The Towers: (scaled down)
^The iconic shot!
^The archway to DF & CCL
^Sunken passageway towards fountain square
^Towers Gardens
X Sector: (Full Size)
Now for "The Smiler", which I had to scale down a tad & edit the layout a bit so it could fit:
^ Staffordshire Knot
And to finish, a shot from The Towers' window:
I hope you enjoyed your tour round the "Half Finished" Alton Towers. I will make sure to give you some updates once more work on the park has been done.
Comments, suggestions, any type of feedback is more than welcome!
Thanks,
Blizz.
