Good excuse more like. Parks in hotter climates seem to cope just fine.

The prime temperature is indeed above 20c however legionella bacteria can spread in temperatures less than that. It’s always best to air on the side of caution as I’m sure everyone can understand.

And i thought they were going to say it was a power saving measure to stop tripping out the local community :D :D

    It’s well known it’s dormant below 20

    Indeed.

I’m sure Towers will have a procedure in place to monitor the water temperature and when it is above a certain level that will be when effects and fountains are turned off. Pretty simple. It has been very warm the past few weeks. Wouldn’t be worth the risk would it.

And yet the Spanish love their fountains and they don't switch them off. Does it even go below 20°c there?

When I went to PA, on our last day the temperature dipped to the mid 20s. The locals were all wearing winter coats and scarfs.

So I'm gonna guess no. ;)

HEY i was reading this and was wondering what people think about the effects on the rides today! I will say that in some cases more seems to be working however there is certain cases where things are now not broke they just sit unused.
Oblivion - the mist effect was fixed a few years back i believe and that seems to work quite consistently!
The Smiler - The screens work quite consistently but the indoor area is looking very tired, the station dispatch missed im sure is a thing of the past, i was delighted when i saw it on in 2019 but it was barely noticable. And the inoculator appears to be working for about a week and then is fixed a few months later, and the giggler hasnt been on since the started of the season.
Wicker Man - Even though i havent seen the large mist effects in the tunnels of big bob on since last year, the other mist effects on the structure seem to be on and the screens are pretty much all on the side that is most visible to guests on the path (i noticed that the one side of the structure has a lot of mist and working screens whereas the further side only has 2 screens in place as the rest that were added back in this year were taken back out and there is only 1 working smoke effect) HOWEVER the new smoke effects in the air time tunnel and the first tunnel were really good and the small pre lift room has 2 working effects though one was spraying under the track so quite useless and the other one in the corner seemed to be a bit late so the sensor for its activation needs to be moved further into the station.
Galactica - The portal mist doesn't always work but i know it is on quite often just not in my recent visits! Also the white lights on the inside of the portal werent on last year or this year which is odd.
Nemesis - All of the water effects were on except the one under the first "drop".
I would like to see the rapids waterfalls return or jsut install new ones if the others cant be fixed, i do think they removed the system for the waterfalls but obviously thats just a guess. The duel effect (cant remember the name) NEEDS to return aswell.
Of course its nice to see some new effects on the frog fountains.
Hex had a really strong scent the other day which was good and so did wicker mans and thirteens!
I think the effects reliability isnt the best but its somewhat better than what it has been 2015-2018!

As much as I like Wicker Man I have never seen it with all the effects working. Isn't there one in the station that has literally never worked but was installed? I do wonder is Wicker Man was a bit too ambitious with its effects. Surely they knew how hard they would be to maintain.
The real bad one though is the rapids: these are meant to be full of effects and they used to be. I just wish they'd give them a nice refurbishment with some new effects.
The other rides effects tend to be fairly good. Galactica's mist is on almost always; as is oblivions.

pretty sure that’s the same situation as the misters on the smiler’s dispatch. Ops couldn’t see the train as it dispatched.

I heard the mist on the smilers station was turned of due to flooding in the station and on the inside of the pre lift 1 building

it was on i remember in either july 2018 or 2019 i remember someone tweeting saying that the station was just full of smoke! You'd think they could just try to lower the amount that is released per second!
