PLEASE NOTE THIS MEET HAS BEEN CANCELLED

As some of you may be aware, an events company called Team Kara Events are organising a day trip from the UK to Europa-Park, on Saturday 28th July. They are running the trip as a means to test the waters to see if a longer duration would be popular in the future, bearing in mind that they already do longer trips to Disneyland Paris, Parc Asterix, Efteling and other destinations.

There are boarding points in Gloucester, Swindon, Reading, London and Maidstone, and they plan to arrive at the park before it opens and leave after it closes, so a full day on park can be had.

Following the recent fire at the park, a number of people booked onto the trip have dropped out, so they desperately need more interest to make the trip viable. They have dropped the price from £119 to just £99 as a result. With travel, channel crossing and park entry covered in the cost, this is an absolute bargain.

It is a great and affordable way to experience the joys of Europa-Park for the first time, or even just to return, if budgets don't allow for a longer holiday or time off work can't be granted!

If you are interested, please see here for more information, and choose the "book now" option. They do have lots of seats still available. I have been in discussion with the team and they said by Friday 1st June they should have a better idea of numbers, so please sign up ASAP! There is a deposit of just £1.

Please feel free to bring friends and family as well - it shows support for the trip, the park itself and it's a great way for them to see the park without committing to a long getaway.

Post in this thread or drop me a message if you are interested/confirmed. Please say in the special requirements box that you wish to sit with the EuropaStreet group, and we will all be together on the coach.

    Thanks!

If you ask nicely, they might fit out the "downstairs private suite" for you? :p

I'll be flying to New York on this date so shalln't be able to join. It is sad that people have pulled out because of the fire though, come the time of the trip the only ride not in operation should be Pirates.

I was tempted but that travel time puts me off massively... Not sure I could cope with 24 hours on a bus!

Yes, well it's not going to be a short journey but there will be breaks. They are looking at a ferry crossing so 2 hours on there to stretch legs etc. I've done 14 hours on a coach before and wasn't too bad in all honesty.

I’ve just discussed with them that if anyone on here wants to come and sit with us on the coach, drop them an email or facebook message and tell them you want to sit with the EuropaStreet group.

Great thread title, I am looking forward to it.

I am hoping once we get back on the coach after the ferry crossing on Friday Night/Saturday morning, most people will be trying to get some sleep ready for the day on park. On the way home, I think most people will be worn out, they will be asleep as well, so hopefully I will only be awake for half of the journey time.

Its a great chance to visit EP on the cheap, and with only two nights away, means no time off work.

Does anyone know if the new Can-Can coaster will be open by the end of July?

Seriously considering this with my friend! Will make a decision tomorrow. It's so sad that people have dropped out due to the fire. Does anyone know what time the coach will be leaving the UK and getting back, roughly, as we'll have to factor in travel from Southport.

The Boarding points for me are too far away from where i live, which is a shame. Would consider going otherwise, always wanted to go to Europa Park

While I can't make this, they do appear to be doing some trip to other parks such as Eftling which does look tempting.

All they're saying at the moment is that it will open in summer. So there is a chance, but it's safer to expect that it won't be open!

Would love to go, but the nearest pick-up point is 2 hours and 40 minutes from where I live. :(

My plan is to drive from Rotherham, to Bedford (Meet up with Mike) via Leicester (Pickup Tom), and then get the train to London, depending on the time, grab some food, before catching the coach at Victoria.

If anyone would like a lift, to Bedford, and is not to far out the way, I have plenty of space in the car. @skyscraper, if you want a lift, I could pick you up from Meadowhall and drop you off back there. @Mike How much will the tickets from Bedford to London be roughly?

My understanding is the coach is departing London Victoria at 9pm on Friday 27th July, and will be getting back there for 9am Sunday 29th July.

Thanks @IanB, Will talk to my parents tonight and see if I can go. :)

Edit: please put me down as "maybe", @Burbs.

(I would be bringing a plus one as well)
