For people of a larger persuasion, I think Gerstlauer restraints are the comfiest. B&M aren't designed for fat people, especially the clam shells and Intamin seem determined to chop your head off. Mack are a close second but the seats can be a little small for fat bottoms.

I find both B&M and Gerst clamshells very uncomfortable, due to having fat thighs. The only way forward is the Mack route.
