Europa Park vs Disneyland Paris

This is more of a personal planning question but also happy for the conversation to branch off into a general comparison of the parks if people are keen to!

Basically we're looking at doing 2 trips in 2026, one will be our first trip to Europa and one will be our second to DLP. The main point of consideration is the timing as one trip will be in May half term and the other in summer holidays (likely final week of July).

Initially i was thinking Europa for May as it's less likely to coincide with their school holidays (though i'm not sure about that due to all the regional variations) and then July would be more likely that Frozen will be open at DLP.

But now i'm wondering if the other way would be better as July will hopefully be nicer weather for Europa meaning we can enjoy the outdoor parts of Rulantica and due to RAP at Disney the school holidays clashing aren't as much of a concern.

What do you think?

So long as you miss “Hell Week” - the week leading up to Ascension day (next year Thursday May 14th) and the Friday and Saturday immediately after, May is a good a time as any to go. It can be just as nice weather wise as the middle of the summer, in fact the first time I visited at that time of year it was pushing 37C!

I second this, I went early may this year and the crowd levels were perfect!

Yeah, I would definitely lean towards doing Europa first, so you have as much chance as possible of getting on Frozen in July. It's normally better to plan by crowds rather than the season, in my opinion, as the weather can be unpredictable.

There's also the fact that Europa Park has more rides, and I suspect more people would want to do more of them. Whereas with Disney, maybe it's just me, but I think it'd be easier to focus on the ones that are your priorities.

Yes would be week of May 25th so fortunately avoid that!
