Europe road trip

I'm looking at doing a europe road trip with a friend next may and am looking for advice as I've never done one before (apart from titchy ones around the UK)
Driving is tiring and i dont have too many free days, so we're looking at doing 4-5 parks and have formulated some plans, and would like feedback on which is better + how to improve them
Trip 1:
-Get eurotunnel at around 9 or 10
-Drive to walibi belgium
-spend half day there
-set off towards germany
-day at phantasialand
-day at toverland
-day at walibi holland
-day at efteling
-drive home

Trip 2:
-Get eurotunnel at 5-7
-Drive to phantasialand
-Spend remainder of day there
-day at holiday park
-day at tripsdrill
-day at europa
-drive home + half day at asterix/disneyland/walibi belgium

Obviously the second trip has better parks, but there's much more driving and the parks are more expensive, so I'm sort of torn.

Definantly a differcult decision, I would leen towards the first trip only as I feel a day at Europa it will feel somewhat incomplete. If this is for next year, hopefully the startrek Mack coaster should be built at Movie park so I would throw that one in the mix, along with Heidi opening at Plopsaland.

Depending how far it is for you to drive to get to the tunnel/ ferry, here's a third opinion for you I am throwing out there, you could do something like :

-Drive from UK to Plopsaland (never been but I don't think it would be a whole day park)
-Efteling
-Toverland (wouldn't say its a whole day park though)
-Movie Park
-Phantasialand driving that evening to somewhere like Brussels to stay to cut the next days drive down, or even dropping one of the parks listed above so you could then goto Walibi Belgium and are then closer to home.

Although you don't get to go to some parks, it does cut the driving down a bit, Hope this helps, I havn't been to all these parks but the ones I have been to were great, hope your trip comes together!

I would definitely not do it like this.
You really need a full day at Phantasialand.
And as Marcus said you'd struggle to do Europa in a day.

Bash it out properly, are you going for a trip or credit raid? Also Movie Park is a half day place and grab the Alpine Coaster at Bottrop if you pass. Also Tover could be done in half a day.

The logistics of your second trip are not feasible. You simply can't drive and do some of the parks in a day.

Phannyland needs at least two days, and EP needs at least three, if not more. Tripsdrill needs a full day. Also, on a trip like that, with that ammount of driving, you'll need some rest time.... and running round a park trying to cram it all in is NOT restfull!

As @DiogoJ42 said, it will not be relaxing. Last year me and some others here did 4 parks and 2 Kermises, with driving everyday and flew MAN to EIN and back. I was knackered and did no driving

Not to mention that bad delay at Eindhoven Airport on the way back, plus a random second enforced trip through security! :p

I'm more looking at just the coasters and less dark rides and stuff. I would like to do europa for a few days, but i really don't have much time and it would take a full day to drive there (each way)

When I first went to EP, I was trying to rush around and grab all the coaster creds ASAP. I couldn't understand what the others were thinking, wanting to sit and have a beer, or go on some silly kids dark ride, or watch a show (seriously? Shows‽)

..... Then eventually I had to calm down before I collapsed from heat stroke. And suddenly I realised that EP is far more than the sum of it's coasters. If you just go there, grab credits and run, you miss out on 98% of what makes the place so special.
Trust me, you can't rush Europa. It's size alone makes this impossible.

If time is an issue, then I would advise a few days at just EP over a manic road trip with no time to stop and enjoy life. Quality vs quantity. :)
(Of course, there are plenty of parks that do fit well in to a "half day here, drive, half day there" road trip. But they tend to be the smaller parks with only one or two good rides. The major parks really need your undivided attention.)

Do EP as a smash and grab credit raid, just to wind the fanboys up. Please. Some would blow a gasket XD

I know someone who has done this. Think he spent a grand total of 4 hours in the park.

I love the concept of a smash and grab credit raid on Europa-Park.

In fact, the idea of someone going in a tearing about in 4 hours makes me howl with laughter.
There is definantly something funny about it, you can just imagine someone standing there being blown away by the immersion and detail in Wodan's queueline, to then have some angry lunatic bardge pass them unremorsefully, bellowing "MOVE!" or as soon as the ride pull's into the station, them springing up and smashing their way through to the next ride as if they are about to soil themselves. I work with someone who I am sure would be just like this if he was at a theme park.

So a target to beat as well :)

In all seriousness, don't. I wouldn't even recommended it for most crap parks. Only done it a couple of times (did a fair in 15 mins and did Fantasy island in quick time) but they are turds not worth time

So i'll guess i'll do a big trip to europa at some point in the near future and maybe do half a day at holiday park
Anyway, i haven't got much feedback on the first trip which is really the most likely plan
Sound possible?

The first trip looks very feasible to be fair! Phanny and Efteling would be a stress to get done completely in a day, but certainly doable, depending on crowds. With Phanny there is always their fastpass option if needed, think it's €16 for 4 rides so quite reasonable. There would also be the possibility that if Toverland stays open till a decent time you could have another morning at Phanny then drive to Toverland (about 1 hour) and do that in a few hours, especially if you're only interested in credits / thrills.

Overall, driving times are very reasonable for the whole trip, although believe me, it's a long old drive from Efteling back home! If you somehow come up with more time to play with, have some more time at Phanny and Efteling :)

For a similar trip to your second option, I'd do something like 1 day at Tripsdrill, 1 day at Holiday Park and 3 days at Europa
