One of the SEA-LIFE family was badly damaged during last Winter's storm surge and it's been recently announced that it will re-open in October. It's good to see this substantial investment being made by Merlin as much of the place has had to be rebuilt or redesigned and it means that the good work the location does as a 'Seal Hospital' can continue.
Here's some images from their Facebook page both showing how bad the damage was and the work so far:

Official Statement said:Welcome to Hunstanton SEA LIFE Sanctuary
In December of last year Hunstanton SEA LIFE Sanctuary fell victim to the tidal surge that spread across the East coast.
More than 3,000 fish and creatures were evacuated to other SEA LIFE Centre’s around the UK, with SEA LIFE Great Yarmouth housing a significant amount of these until the sanctuary can reopen again.
Hunstanton SEA LIFE Sanctuary received a wealth of support from both the local community and it's parent, Merlin Entertainments plc. A result of this has meant that all of our animals are doing incredibly well and have now settled into their new homes.
The Hunstanton team are working around the clock to refurbish the entire Sanctuary. At the date of publication of this statement (12th June 2014) the drying process has completely finished, the core construction has taken place and we are beginning to start putting in some theming to the Sanctuary.
Currently, the proposed opening date is mid-October and we cannot wait to open our doors again! We appreciate your continued support at this time and look forward to welcoming you back to our brand new home.
