MINI MEETS: Fireworks Weekend

As is customary, our official meet takes place on the last day of the season. However, many of us like to spend the last weekend at the park on the other days, too.

The plan is as follows:

FRIDAY
5.00pm - Meet at Splash Landings
Fireworks premier

SATURDAY
9.30am - Meet at Splash Landings
Full day on park

The Sunday is the official meet.

Who'll be around Friday evening/Saturday?

I'll be there on the Friday evening and the Saturday. :)

EDIT: I may not be there on the Saturday until partway through the afternoon due to picking someone up from Uttox station.
 
I'm currently working Friday till 2pm and Saturday till 2pm so may pop along after work. If not I will be there all day Sunday.
 
Looking into heading up for the Saturday however if I can get the whole weekend off work by moving my shifts around (Sunday is already sorted!) then I'll be there the whole weekend. Otherwise I'll be arriving later on Saturday around midday-ish. :)
 
Not too sure exactly what my plans are yet. Leicester play Forest at home on the Saturday, a game I'm not missing, so I'm probably going try and quickly get to Towers after the game arriving just in time for the start of the fireworks. I will probably try and visit for the Friday evening like last year also!

I will be there from midday Friday with Pierre and will be there all day for Saturday and Sunday. Nikki will be with me on Sunday :)
 
I've not got anything sorted yet, but I hope to be there for at least 1 1/2 days if not the full event.
 
I'll be there at least one day of that weekend, but that's all I can guarantee for now - once I've sorted the whole 'work' thing, I'll know more - staying over on resort would certainly be a great way to round off an enjoyable first season on here :)
 
Potentially looking into the Saturday then finding somewhere to crash on the night (I'll finally be 16!) then going to the official meet on Sunday. :)
 
The earliest I can get there is Friday evening, but other than that I want to be there for the whole meet as I've never been to the fireworks before, and want to stay over.

Would anyone want to share a resort room to cut the cost?
 
I wouldn't mind Amy, it will be busy, so its better to stay on resort instead of waiting about a hour to get get out of the car park ike it was at Towers Live earlier in the year.


Problem is cost! Not very cheap at all


At the moment is stands at £274.50 - 20% AP Discount (£54.90) = £219.60 /4 = £54.90 Each
Thats for a Saturday

I agree that the problem is cost! I will talk to Ste and see what he says, but I can imagine he will say it's too much! He hasn't stayed before though, I think it's fab and would love for him to experience it.

I'd like to do Saturday, but maybe spend the daytime in either cariba or the spa before moving to the park for the fireworks.
Staying over is way out of my price range! :p

Right I am going to give the Friday night a miss as I have to be up early on Saturday for work. However I will be on park on Saturday from about 2.30pm and then all day on Sunday.
 
Saturday afternoon around 1pm-ish depending on when I finish work and how traffic is on the way up. :)
