Movers and Shakers!?

With Safari Parks adding new rides, smaller adventure parks such as Twinlakes, Woodlands and Crealy expanding fairly well and parks such as Camelot shutting down, what are your predictions for the next five years?

Personally I see Merlin continuing to dominate the industry, with very little movement in the middle: Flamingoland et al providing a middle ground. But who do you think will fall and who will rise in the next five years?

Consult your crystal balls and get going!

I hope think that in the next few years, Amanda Thompson will finally realise that she can no longer maintain BPB adequately for it to compete - and so will sell to the highest bidder. Merlin.

Paultons Park are definite one to watch. The investment in Peppa Pig World was very smart, and it looks like they're keeping it up with the 4D cinema. They could become the major park of the south in a few years, serving Portsmouth, Brighton, Southampton and Bristol. Their nearest competition are Chessington and Legobland, really...

Brighton is closer to Thorpe and Chessie than Paultons, although it is on the South Coast and not difficult to get to from there.
