Mystery Alton Towers Sign - Can anybody help locate where specifically in the park its from please?

Hi,

I purchased this mystery Alton Towers wooden sign online as I'm a sucker for anything with Alton Towers on it, especially older 'vintage' stuff.

I wondered if anyone knows where in the park or hotel this could be from? My first guess was Mutiny Bay / Merrie England. Age wise I think this has to be pretty old (90s?) because its unlikely that anything like this would be put up nowadays...

I asked the seller and they had no idea.

That font, with the ‘T’ stylised that that, you are talking 80s era I would say. So long before Mutiny Bay.



No idea where this could have specifically been (if it was ever used at all?). Different times as you say(!)

They used to sell an awful lot of very strange random stuff in the shop that became the Hex queueline, may well have been in there.

I would guess it was never put up on park, its a joke sign from a gift shop, probably sold in the 80s or earlier.
