Hi! I'm completing my EPQ (extended project qualification - Google can probably tell you more about it than I can!) on the topic of UK theme parks. Unfortunately I can't explain in any detail at the moment but maybe one day! I need to collect some opinions from theme park fans, and I thought this could be the perfect place. At the moment, all I have is a couple of Microsoft Forms, but I may ask some other questions here as I go.

It would also be helpful if anyone knows any good websites/sources of data for UK theme parks, such as visitor statistics, revenue/profit, ranked nationally/Europe/globally, or anything else that you think could be useful for objective analysis.

Please read the notes at the top of this form and complete if you can. I'm finalising another one that I hope to post in the next couple of weeks. first form - Merlin Entertainments UK Theme Parks – Fill in form

Thank you!!

Hello @alton supreme . Good luck with your extended project!

I've completed your questionnaire. Just noticed when I clicked to review my answers that some responses have been marked as 'Incorrect' - maybe that can be changed as I presume there are no "wrong" answers here?

(Alhough to be fair, if anyone ranks Chessington highest for food there has to be something wrong with them...)

Hi @alton supreme. I’ve filled out your form; good luck with the EPQ!

For visitor statistics, one of your best bets might be this post I created: https://towersstreet.com/talk/threa...res-through-the-years.5778/page-2#post-378827

Without trying to blow my own trumpet too much, I made a post estimating Merlin park attendance figures up to 2021 after the release of attendance graphs during public consultations. The reason I cite it as one of your best bets is because as well as spanning multiple decades, this is actual data straight from the horse’s mouth, so the source is about as reliable as you can get! Caveats of course apply, but I’d like to think that I estimated correctly to within a relatively narrow margin of error!

The TEA report is also a good source for wider theme park industry visitation, though its accuracy for Merlin park figures is debatable if the Merlin graph is anything to go by, with some notable discrepancies existing. I’d take some of TEA’s figures with a pinch of salt.
